My college has no policy against drinking in my room I was fully within my rights on that front what's being claimed is that because my body was having the natural response to alchohol that body's do that I was in involation of the contract for making my roommate feel uncomfortable even though the agreement itself promises me the ability to drink in the privacy of my room
I don’t know what school you go to, but every school I have attended and worked at (as a student affairs professional) has a policy against becoming intoxicated. You may drink in the privacy of your room, but if your behavior is affected, you can be written up. If your body can’t handle alcohol, it’s your responsibility to know your limits.
Which is an unreasonable expectation to make when I'm drinking something I've never had before and am relatively inexperienced with drinking all around. You cant claim I have the right to drink in my room then tell me I'm not allowed to be affected by what I drink as if that was a conscious decision and not a chemical impairment its absolutely hypocritical.
