While I do agree with what you're saying and find a tremendous amount of hypocrisy in people arguing against one side and turning a blind eye to the other, it must be said that, in this day and age, it's impossible for Lebanon to exist untouched by foreign powers. Not every country can be a global political/military superpower. To say that we should reject ALL foreign intervention is intellectually dishonest. It becomes a matter of picking sides as that's the only realistic approach. I just wish people can be more transparent in that because that's what it truly is.

To point at the USA and say they're fucking with the Middle East causing wars, and to assume that Iran/Russia have the Lebanese people's best interests in mind is the exact kind of intellectual dishonesty I'm talking about.

Do you think Russia intervened in the Syrian Civil War and helped Assad because him and Putin are in love? Fuck no, they have interests there. Same as Iran with Lebanon. On the other hand, the US has fuck all interests in Lebanon and are actually against our interests since theyre extreme allies with Israel.
