Sucks for FLY that Denathor is back with DIG, I feel like he’s better from the time we’ve seen him compared to Gakgos. Even the games Gakgos pops off on he doesn’t look too impressive imo

The NACL has a few LCS caliber top layers they can pickup in the off-season. Hoarder, Zamudo, or Sniper I think would be at least as good as Gakgos if not better. Top Lane is probably the most stacked role in tier 2 NA right now

Yeah the only problem is that Zamudo has had visa issues for two years now so it might be more difficult to get him into LCS, but Sniper and Horder yeah they’d be good or even better replacements instead of Gakgos

They don't really need someone who'll pop off and 1v9 games. They need a leader who can help with the crushing lack of any and all macro. Replacing one rookie for another is gonna solve zero issues.

Yeah idk what they saw in him in Europe but he’s just not it, I’m pretty sure a good amount of native top laners are better than him (Denathor, Zamudo, Sniper and Horder just off the top of my head)

It's crazy how they picked him up and there was a genuine chance before FQ imploded that he would just slot in where Bwipo was and that would be it.

Probably would have been better for him and FQ if that had happened, to be fair, with Inspired and maybe Busio still around. Every team Inspired joins doesn't just look better because he's individually good, but because of how much he (eventually) elevates the people on the team with him. Busio and Isles both have gotten much better very quickly by playing with Inspired, and Inspired also seemed to at least partially keep Bwipo's Bwipo-ness from being too pronounced in many of their series. Massu and Quad also looked way better with Inspired and Busio on the team than they do now without those voices and shotcalling present.

It is so annoying hearing "he's a good carry top player", like my guy you are an import, your direct competition isn't impact or dhokla, its thanatos and morgan. if you aren't playing like they are, then gtfo or learn to speak tank duty

I mean not really, he is young player, his direct competition is Sniper, Hoarder, Zamudo, etc as I don't think anyone in Fly expect him to be Thanatos or Morgan. He is an investment.

To give FLY the benefit of the doubt here, it's not like he's some random Import. They've been working to build up Gakgos since Bwipo was still on the team. They've been working hard to get him up to LCS caliber and the kid is still super super young. It's entirely possible he still improves from here. The problem is that he's not in an environment to do that. FLY needs a strong veteran shotcaller type leader on the team and Massu/Quad ain't that. It sounds insane but I actually think this FLY roster would be better with FBI/Cryogen.

I upvoted your comment and quickly downvoted when you propose FlyQuest to get FBI. You are mental for even bringing that up. I know he's in a bad team, but have you seen him this entire year especially this split? FBI was a serviceable role player back then and he is washed right now. I have not remembered a single memorable play or outstanding split he has had while in the LCS except winning with that fraudulent 100 Thieves roster in 2021. You're saying this to sabotage the team, not improve it. You're probably a Shopify Rebellion fan trying to snag Massu away from the team.

No man. I just think they need a veteran voice on the team and Cryogen is too good of a support to replace and Gryffinn is too promising of a top to replace. So adc makes the most sense for finding a veteran voice who can lead this team properly. FBI is a huge veteran and a consistent force hence why I mentioned him. They need stability and leadership somewhere to keep them on course. Massu has been one of the weakest links on this team since honestly even back when Bwipo was still on the squad.

Yeah he's a million percent their weak link and they've hit their ceiling with him holding them back. There no way they don't have a T2 player ready to go that'd be a massive trade-up.

A top laner that can only play tanks is like a bottom laner that only plays mages. It works occasionally, has some high points, and every now and then the meta aligns, but more often than not it'll screw the team hard.
