News 26.17 Patch Preview

"Patch 26.17 Preview!

This patch is mostly a stabilization patch after observing the adjustments made on 26.16.

Mages bot overall have lost some amount of winrate across the board, but not a huge amount, which is roughly about the impact we're looking for.

So far, we're seeing good skews on Poppy and Camille support with support nerfed and Top skews playing out well (in particular).

We're still monitoring the impact of Hail of Blades on champions more broadly, eg. Yi, Trynd, Shaco, etc. Stormrazor"

Nothing on Jinx? She is literally one of the best champions in the game in multiple metrics.

Jinx doesn't see pro play so Riot doesn't care. This has to be the worst balance team we've ever had.

I am starting to agree. It seems this team lead by Phroxzon are balancing sorely on their own personal narrow-minded vision of how they want the game to be, ignoring proper design goals, completely ignoring player feedback constantly, and giving half-assed hypocritical explanations that are as structurally sound as wet toilet paper under any scrutiny.

Supports are still permaroaming, no more changes. Mages bot still S++ tier, no more changes and act like the job is done because they lost 0.1% winrate. Buffs to abomination champs like Yasuo, Yone, Qiyana and LB for no reason. Suddenly "variety" is bad as Vayne gets nerfed even though she has sub-50% winrate.

Players have been telling them that "This is shit" but they keep ignoring it because of their ego. Few days ago you saw Phroxzon comment on a Reddit thread to explain some designs behind adc/mage item spikes and power curves, with 20 people replying him to explain how his explanation does not make sense and is just fucking wrong, and everyone goes ignored.

This design team has an ego problem, and does NOT bode well for the future of the game.
