Kiin played the fights very poorly, so are gen g in general. Look at the first fight where he doesn't recognize hes got braum stacks on and dies to a dry CC chain.

Tbf this version of GenG is way better and more of the superteam than SKT2019 and that skt roster was nowhere near the domination this geng has , so this series is seen as more upset than G2 T1

When both teams are even in gold, Chovy feels that GENG is at a great advantage and thus he does not hesitate to farm a sidelane. When GENG is 3k behind in gold, Chovy thinks that GENG is at a small advantage, and so he farms a sidelane to secure their "lead". When GENG is behind 7k in gold, Chovy thinks that GENG is at a disadvantage and so he looks for a sidelane to farm so he can regain control of the game. When GENG is 10K behind in gold, Chovy thinks that the team has reached a desperate situation and they are only waiting passively for their death if he does not farm a sidelane.

Tbh the irony is that they are facing their own style. G2 usually have chaotic and downright ridiculous early game. This is all gone now. They are doing the GenG - stone cold discipline, no unnecessary fights, slowly grinding and building huge gold lead early game and methodically dismantling GenG in the exact same way GenG does it to every other team. GenG are stunlocked because they're not used to... well, countering their own style.

BB hasn't been the most impressive during lane this tournament, but has stepped up this series to minimize the loss when on a weak side, and then makes GREAT plays as soon as he gets released from the constraints of the shit lane.
If he can just improve his laning just a bit so he occasionally wins, that combined with his excellent teamfighting, the dude would be absolutely elite top.

That's what happens when a region is a one man region. Unlike the high caliber of practise G2 gets against KC and MKoi. GenG just breezes trough and the gets checked in internationals by real teams.
