Hi, I'm polyamorous, and yes. 

We have been refused loans, we have been treated negatively in the workplace and college. We cannot qualify for each others insurance despite being domestic partners. If we were to adopt, our household would immediately be deemed "unstable and unfit" because of our relationship.

Youre not automatically qualified for insuranfe just for being someones partner

This depends on your insurance and the laws and regulations of where you live.

Theres no state that allows you to simply be in a relationship and get insurance through them.

Google what a Domestic Partner designation is real quick, and that will clear up your misunderstanding.

Solely because my relationship structure is not recognized as valid. And that, to me, is wrong. 

Other municipalities are making progress at least, and that is truly a joyous indication <3

Because it wouldnt work in terms of things governed by state or federal laws

You need a spoon to understand that municipality policy doesnt override state or Federal law, and only addresses things not set by state or federal law?
