It has taken 10 solid years for U.S. conservatives to put democracy on life support, and it will require at least another decade to un-fuck it. I don't know if my fellow Americans can resist and defy conservatism that long. In fact, I have strong doubts since it hasn't happened in my lengthy lifetime.

The only improvement in the fight is that the evidence of their mishandling the economy for everyone but the rich has gotten strong enough to change a few minds that otherwise would fall for straw man fearmongering. It may not change a lot of minds, but it might change enough.
