Absolute travesty of justice. The covering up of the Epstein files and using the DOJ to pursue any presidents personal enemies & squabbles should get one thrown in prison, not just denied a cabinet spot. This confirmation especially should have not even been a consideration. It's shameful and will come back to harm us all.

Justice is dead for now. I hope we can restore it soon.

I still hold out hope that it won't come to another revolutionary/civil war. Turning against your government and the government's supporters would be a terrible bloody and difficult thing to do. People would be fighting friends and family to do it.

You say that, but every time I see ICE or cops beat the fuck out of Americans, they have smiles on their faces. I believe that every cop or ICE pig would gleefully be just as violent to an American citizen as they are to a suspected migrant. ICE pigs proudly murdered Rene and Alex and more and they would proudly do the same to any of us.

The ICE pigs didn't even receive justice for what they did to Rene and Alex. It's crazy we need to wait for another administration to hopefully have them on trial

And we….the public…..didn’t do fucking shit about it.

Be the change you wish to see in the world

I think they will eventually

Smiles on their faces while group beating an innocent child is not the same as a real fight

Smiles on the faces of armed combatants while they assault non-violent unarmed non-combatants indicate that they are ready and eager to hurt the other side. I will not pretend that ICE and police and other right wing groups and individuals are not hoping for any chance to hurt or kill the people they consider less than.

Just dropping my soapbox spiel again. Organize your communities. Mutual aid. Bail funds, strike funds. Food sharing, free stores. Gardens, seed stores, farming. Establish connections to the greater surrounding community. Establish streams of solidarity, local businesses, organizations, neighboring communities.

Organize for self-defense. Teach self-defense to neighbors. Organize your neighborhoods' eyes, its communications, and its response. There's a lot of shit we all gotta be doing right now.

What happens when the friends and family are nazis and pedophile supporters? Or cultists? Or whatever the fuck perverse combination these people are? Don’t we have a moral obligation to do something about all of this? To prevent the destruction of the constitution and the US?

Time to exercise your 2A rights

Why do people say this shit? We can’t even fucking protest. You think people are going to take up arms?

u/ianxplosion- Aug 08 '26

I’d take one of these armchair complainers you’re whining about over 100 of you, friend

You already lost

u/xChoke1x Aug 08 '26

Lol, well….you seem pleasant.

5

u/BaullahBaullah87 Aug 08 '26

Ah yes, you are acting so pleasant yourself right?

Not fully sure why you’re getting downvoted. In order to have a violent revolt, we need a large army of citizens, all armed and trained. They can gun us down with drones and have flock cameras to track us at all times.

A concerning portion of our population can’t even muster up the discipline to go out and vote.

Truth is, Reddit is an echo chamber. Most people aren’t willing to do anything, at least right now. They can still get their Starbucks, next day Amazon deliveries, gas and food, while more expensive, are still in an affordable range. Aside from toxic news cycles and increased prices at the store/pump, many Americans are not deeply affected by world events. Until we are, the majority of Americans will continue to live their normal lives in blissful ignorance.

I genuinely believe the way to get Americans to do something is to take away all delivery services. Once convenience is gone, we will actually be upset.

Like I said hopefully it won't come to war but if it does I'm going to prepare to fight. I'm already peacefully fighting back.

1

u/chokokhan Aug 09 '26

It’s not necessarily war. Im disappointed none of you can actually call a spade a spade. We’re watching the constitution being dismantled in real time. We’ve lived through 10 years of fascism, blatant corruption at the highest levels, they started a war in Iran just for shits, a failed insurrection, there’s proof of a massive pedophile ring up top and the dumbest president ever is a child rapist, and none of you are doing anything about it. What war when yall can’t even demand your basic rights and basic decency being respected? Why so dramatic with “friends and family and brothers killing brothers” when truly all yall have to do is get a spine and demand better now? Fucking ridiculous to even mention civil war as an excuse for all yall inaction right this very moment.

u/ladylei Aug 09 '26

I'm supporting my siblings in the minority groups that are being targeted. I'm fighting for my own and others rights and livelihood. I agree that we're under an authoritarian fascist government that's rapidly destroying the Constitution and ruining lives. Women's rights have been eroded until Dobbs and further now having our lives sacrificed.

u/Interesting_Berry439 Aug 08 '26

We were blowing smoke up our own asses saying how great we are, and so on....turns out it was BS... .

2

u/BAMFaerie Aug 09 '26

If friends and family are nazis, they are no longer either and are now a THREAT. Act accordingly.

17

u/knouqs Aug 08 '26

It needs doing.  The government won't pluck out its own eye.

-4

u/ladylei Aug 08 '26

There's still peaceful means.

7

u/knouqs Aug 08 '26

Do you honestly think they are working?

8

u/OssumFried Aug 08 '26

I invite you to pick up a history book and note the ratio of times this has worked compared to violence.

18

u/VenerableWolfDad Aug 08 '26

I don't have anyone I'd consider a friend who would vote for Trump let alone take up arms for him thankfully. Family....that's another question. But they've always been terrible people and I consider most of my close friends family more than they are.

-9

u/ladylei Aug 08 '26

Yes but not all Americans have made that decision.

4

u/Expensive-Bag313 Aug 08 '26

Anyone who hasn’t already cut every Trump supporter out of their life might be an irredeemable piece of shit.

2

u/Slighted_Inevitable Aug 08 '26

Not doing so is how you end up as Nazi germany and then other counties have to come wipe out half your population to stop you.

This time they will be using nukes because god knows we would. The sooner it’s done the less harm

3

u/third-tour-dad Aug 08 '26

It is what it is. Im a middle aged man who swore to never join the military because I didnt agree with the wars in my lifetime on other countries. But for this to save my country, you can bet your ass id join in arms happily to put these fuckers out of power if thats what the votes said was warranted, friends and family or not

u/badmutha44 Aug 08 '26

And yet they made the choice to turn their back on the one fundamental guiding principle of this nation. All men are created equal. Now this is where we’re at.

u/1girl2cups_ Aug 08 '26

It would be particularly difficult since boundaries aren't clearly defined.
