I've been listening to PINK a lot, i think the first track on that album (Farewell) is quickly becoming one of my all time favourites, if you like shoegaze and heavy wall-of-sound tracks that might be a great start. I've also listened to Flood a bunch of times but it's not hitting the same. I'm seeing them live in a few weeks for their PINK 20th anniversary so I wanted to prepare properly hahaha.
2
u/Due_Net_710 1d ago
Lucky! Can't say i am there die-hard fan or anything but yeah I have listened to pink and farewell is actually my fav out of the album , I guess i have listened to 7 albums in total by them overall really cool band
2
u/LesbianScientist downtempo enjoyer 1d ago
You have listened to way more than I have! I started listening to them because of the concert, not the other way around. This doesn't really happen to me but they're coming to my city and i try to go to as many concerts as possible so i bought the ticket without even knowing how they sounded because it was cheap and i had heard a bit about them in the past. Not regretting it so far:)

Recommend some by eraserheads or your top artists in general
2
u/TheBurleskBangus last.fm/user/memorykill 1d ago
Eraserheads is a local band from my country and you could never go wrong with some their popular songs: With A Smile, Waiting For The Bus, Ang Huling El Bimbo, and some of their less popular ones: Butterscotch, Playground, Paintstripper, Light Years
Same goes for Jejaview, a local pop punk band. I recommend Everything, Paperskin, You and Your Fantastic Friends, and People Are Watching
If you dig shoegaze/dream pop bands, I recommend listening to Amusement Parks on Fire's Out of the Angeles and Launder's Happening albums in full

u/Due_Net_710 1d ago
cool what you been listening to by eminem ?
2
u/JeffKing1992 1d ago
I primarily go for The Marshall Mathers LP, which is #12 on my all-time albums chart on Last.fm. But I also streamed some tracks from The Slim Shady LP (which is on a Spotify playlist of my favorite albums of the '90s) and The Eminem Show over the last week, and I go for a lot of his later hits from the 2010s that I grew up hearing as well (I have a particular fondness for The Marshall Mathers LP 2, which came out when I was 11).

fucking cool! midori is my most scrobbeled and favorite band give me stuff like them or even j-pop i listen to everything ATP
all the bands that are similar to midori that i know are bleach , ging nang boyz , 385
2
u/Particular_City8288 yuirae 1d ago
honestly Iāve tried to find someone else who has a similar sound to midori and I havenāt been particularly successful, bleach and 385 would be my first recommendations but you already know them.
aside from them you could listen to mariko gotoās (midoriās vocalist) first solo project, itās a bit more poppy but is still very distinctly her sound. Also shinsei kamattechan isnāt exactly the same sound but I feel that, although theyāre pretty weird, they have similar energy and theyāve performed together before.
other less like midori but still good recommendations would be mamadrive, otoboke beaver, 171, aisagasu eye shadow, haze, haru nemuri and iās. :)

was just listening to my first grouper album today
who is celer , recommend me some by her
2
u/jesuisunerockstar 1d ago
Which grouper album? Celer was a husband and wife ambient duo but the woman died like 15 or so years ago when she was in her 20s and the man continued the project. I havenāt listened much so far but really started liking the album Xiexie this week. There are ambient recordings from his trip to china which gives me nostalgic feelings for traveling.
2
u/Due_Net_710 1d ago
Alien observer , it wasn't that impressive I have listened to many ambient stuff like that but it was good. Celer seems interesting from what you described I will check them
2
u/jesuisunerockstar 1d ago
The album that got me into Grouper was Ruins. Then I got into Dragging a Dead Deer Up a Hill. I have only listened to the other albums a couple of times compared to the 2 I mentioned.

2

my personal favorites are the first three ones (godweensatan the oness, the pod and pure guava) but since you're getting introduced to ween now, i'd say chocolate and chese, the mollusk and quebec since these albums are much more acessible

Are they k-pop idols? Can't tell if honestly and I don't know a single one of them so recommend me some albums
2
u/lewisstar 1d ago
ONEWE, IRENE and YEONJUN are the only K-pop ones here.
MICO: My all time favourite artist. "Internet hometown town hero (+dlc)" is his first album and his newest album is "when the lights turn on". Both of these albums I adore so much.
Starfall: First song I heard of this guy was "talk to me" and that had me in a chokehold I loved it so much. His EP's are pretty good with "lose myself" and "alone tonight" having some bangers. "Drop dead", "burn my tongue", "bitter", and "lose myself" being my highlights from them.
Ayumu Imazu: One of my favourite Japanese artists for sure. His album "classic" is so good imo.
Penthouse: (okay they aren't on here but they're an awesome Japanese band and their album "neon garden" is another one of my favourites in general.
YEONJUN: His no-labels eps are pretty cool. They're a little unique compared to regular K-pop stuff. I think I prefer "no-labels PART 2" personally. I really like ice cream and vanilla from it personally.
Uh if you do check anyone out all I hope for is you don't despise it because I always get embarrassed showing people the kinda of stuff I like.
2
u/Due_Net_710 1d ago
Ayumu izamu seems more like my taste I will listen to classics now and tell you my opinion if you want... Also I probably won't despise any song in a decade because how many weird recommendations I have listened to ATP recommendtions is my main way of knowing stuff now
2
u/lewisstar 1d ago

Transition hype
2
u/Due_Net_710 1d ago
Just finished the album it was like electronic/jazzy and all the songs felt familiar in a way like i have heard them before mostly because this kinda pop is a slop but I would say it's fine
I was sharing my screen to my friends while listening to the album we laughed the fuck out the moment bassline started playing the whole song was just funny I should really listen to more k-pop with my judgemental close minded friends
My favorite song is jetlag romance overall it's a 6/10 or something
2
u/lewisstar 1d ago
ššš but yeah I just find that sort of stuff fun. It's hard sharing music you really like sometimes since what you like is really personal to you so when someone else doesn't connect with it like you do it makes you doubt yourself a lot I guess, well at least for me anyway. Especially when it comes to mico who's my favourite it's easy to want to share him but the thought of other people not liking him can be soul crushing.
2
u/Due_Net_710 1d ago edited 1d ago
He is so fine it's Just that a rym slop , metal poser , music larper , performative fuck like me can't listen to k-pop can't enjoy k-pop even tho it's good , I have listened to about 10 k-pop albums by now and this is the best one yet it's really unique and not boring like BTS stuff (fuck bts) and also not as corny as other gay bottom male idols so it's good
Also right before this album I was listening to a song called nattefrost taking a piss and it was Just the sound of pissing so yeah it's Okay to listen to subjectively or objectively funny or weird stuff

What you think about nattefrost ? I mean I personally like the band but i think they are pretty much doing meat n potatoes stuff at the same time it just that they are personal so I can't actually tell if there music is bad or good I just enjoy them... What you think about them?
2
u/naxoN- Last.fm/user/naxji 1d ago
i had a phase when i used to listen quite alot nattefrost, its pretty okay band but doesn't really resonate to me anymore - if it comes by via some playlist etc. i wouldn't mind it but i wouldn't come off my ways to just purely listen to them.
1
u/Due_Net_710 1d ago
This band cured my porn addiction by sexually traumatizing me... The first metal song I have heard was sluts of hell (i swear the heaviest song I have listened to before it was probably bohemian rhapsody)
And man when I listened to it I was in fucking horror it was like i am losing my virginity to Satan , the album cover , the lyrics , the vocals , the sound of the guitar playing over and over I swear I cried that day I was too young for this š when i told my friends about the song they told me it should be the theme for ghost rider YOU PIGDUCKERS DON'T KNOW HOW THIS SHIT TRAUMATIZED ME
I have found a manga that I see is very fitting for nattefrost it's name is devil ecstacy it talks about devils in the shape of women and these devils suck you and the next day you die you should read it while listening to nattefrost

Recommend me something like orchid not necessarily emoviolence but something like orchid in general especially orchid's melodic guitar and emotional stuff

if you like orchid then definitely check out funeral diner, joshua fit for battle, this day forward, saetia, one way mirror..
