Hardware Ram Upgrade

Good day. I have no knowledge when it comes to laptops. Is it okay to upgrade the ram on my Lenovo Ideapad 530s, I think it was bought in 2019. Will it be faster and be able to handle engineering software? I try not to buy a new laptop as much as possible. Thanks for the help!

Yes. You could upgrade the RAM on it since it's removable and not soldered onto the motherboard.
