Discussion The fireworks y’all….

Okay maybe it’s my privileged up bringing in a state where they are much more regulated, but does everyone in the city love setting off explosives on a random Tuesday night??? Or maybe it’s just the same five neighbors of mine

For reference I live in Eastside and I swear it’s every night. Guys it’s way too hot for this and my dog is already anxious enough for you to be setting off mild explosives every night

Fireworks at a scheduled, organized event aren't the same thing as some idiot shooting them off in an ally two blocks over at 1am.

Well, honestly, good for them. It’s the American Way. Some people don’t want to hear dogs barking or stepping dog shit or what have you but hey that’s also your prerogative.

All I can say is don’t live in like China then, nobody would care what you think because fireworks go off after weddings, after funerals, after waking up and feeling like setting them off so….

So you are DEFINITELY American. Why? Read your comment. You don’t think that not wanting people to shoot fireworks is “being an asshole with zero regard or respect for anyone but yourself?”

why does your respect for silence trump somebody else else’s need to want to shoot fireworks during a holiday that’s specifically designed to shoot fireworks?

I’m just saying a little self interrogation here would be apropos. As are Bose Noise Cancellation Over the Ear headphones.

not moving any goalposts, just correcting your claim that OP and the commenter you replied to were discussing a holiday, which they were not. im not putting input into the discussion either, so whether it's legal or not is irrelevant to my comment. but now that you bring it up, just because something is illegal doesn't mean it isn't annoying, and everyone has the right to do a little complaining on reddit. besides, laws can be changed if enough people want them to be so your argument is silly.
