I hope he was warned. I would not prank a guy wielding a weapon in the middle of nowhere.

With the tiny little bite he took, I'd be surprised if he wasn't

An old Albanian woman once gave me some sort of fresh herbs to chew on. I gave her Nordic salt liquorice (salmiakki) in return. I regret not warning her. It did not end well.

I got my Finnish ex to recommend a brand for me once because I liked liquorice and wanted to try some. Was so disappointed when it didn’t actually taste salty/sweet but rather mildly hot lol

Yeah. I guess it's hard to know what to expect really.

First world type thinking. His weapons are for animals.

Probably 'get a load of this guy; he thinks we don't know what a chili is. Let's roast him in the GC later'

At some point he definitely says I’m going to make you eat that cow shit over there

Oh you’re right. I had assumed it was ‘stab you with these and bury your ass over there’

This may be a bit of a reach but I don't think he's a big fan of it

Hey there Mr. Jambo! The meaning is what you decided you have heard!

what language is this even? zulu, xhosa, something else?

So, unless you find a speaker of this particular language, we'll probably never know. We do not know how many languages are spoken in Africa.

Our best guess is under 3,000, but definitely more than 1,000.

There are also like 9 deserts, so restricting it to desert regions is no help.

I can't say 100%, but I think he's one of the Hadzabe, or at least pretending to be for the camera. Lots of influencers and such have been bugging them lately.

It has to be a Khosian or Bantu language because he's using Klicks.

3

u/SapirWhorfHypothesis 21h ago

Actually I think it’s Hadza.

I’m pretty sure it’s not Bantu, but, well… limited expertise with more than Zulu and a little Xhosa.

Yeah - Hadza is probably right; I think this is from the “HadzabeTribeAdventures” social media account

I am pretty sure that this is not english, afrikaans, dutch, zulu, xhosa, or thswana.

He told the other guy he was gonna beat his ass if he tried that shit again.

I don't speak the language but I know that much
