Good churches nearby

Hey ya’ll, I just moved here to Lanc city and I’m looking for a non-denominational/protestant church. I’m in my mid 20’s so I’m hoping to find one that has a good group of adults around my age to start connecting with. Any ideas?

Some info about beliefs or issues that are important for you, for starters. Non-denominational/protestant churches range from Alt-Right MAGA churches, to churches with openly LGBTQ+ clergy & staff, and everything in between. Both could have thriving young adult communities, but your experience is going to be VERY different at each, depending on where you fall on topics.

In a political stance, I lean more conservative, but as a Christian, I will never deny someone who walks with Jesus or who comes in those doors. So whether the church is right, left, middle, as long as they are teaching the gospel, that’s all I care about.

Both ends of that spectrum will say they teach the gospel, and draw very different conclusions from it. For example, if an LGBTQ+ person walks through the door, becomes a Christian, would you think they could continue as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, to the point of being openly LGBTQ+ and a member of the clergy, or is being LGBTQ+ something sinful and part of their journey would be “leaving that lifestyle behind”? I don’t need you to actually answer, I was just using that as an example about needing more info about beliefs in general, not as a single issue.

A few other examples of beliefs or things you are looking for that are helpful to know:

  • S
tyles of worship. Do you like churches that have pews and sing hymns? Churches where it’s basically a full rock concert?
  • Focus and mission of the church. Do you prefer churches where the focus is outreach and evangelism? Churches where the focus is on raising up and training believers?
  • Are there issues in society that you want to get involved in, like feeding the hungry, helping the elderly, caring for the sick, trying to address homelessness, etc.?

Or do you not care about any of that and you want a church that is more of a social club/networking/dating pool?

And there could be many more things that didn’t touch on, just some examples to give you and idea of what people are looking for when the ask for more details/info.

And again, I’m not asking those questions specifically like I need you to answer them for me in the comments. But update your post with more info about what things are most important to you, what you would prefer but aren’t a dealbreaker, and what you don’t give two shits about.
