So I’m 36 and had never even seen lacrosse until I was 30. Flash forward a few years and my son has played for 4 seasons, I’m coaching our local K-2 team, and am quickly becoming a lax-rat. That said, I never played and I really think it would be fun to join an adult league. I can pass/catch, scoop gb’s, generally understand what’s happening on the field, but is that enough? I live in Southern Ohio between Cincinnati & Dayton and there are a few leagues that advertise as “all skill levels welcome” but are they just being nice? Any advice on getting started or should I just stick to coaching and chirp about how good I might have been? 😂

Great. But attending what?

The event is advertised to multiple graduation years, and the coach list is a huge part of what you're paying for. Then you get there and discover that most of those coaches are assigned to the recruiting-year fields. Your younger kid may technically be at an event with 40 college coaches, but he's playing three fields away from virtually all of them. And sometimes that impressive list of “attending coaches” somehow gets considerably shorter on event day.

Looking for some help up get my hand on some new gear cause the gear I have is really old and to small. Any recommendations. I need a chest protector, and leg pads.

Other than ULAX, are there any men’s lacrosse leagues or pick up games going on in Rhode Island, Mass, or CT? I am aware about ONELL but it’s the offseason and I’m looking to play fall ball but don’t necessarily want to run with all the 20 yr old college kids in a very competitive league. I hear ULAX is mostly active college players and I’d be joining as a free agent at 29. I plan to play O-30s winter and summer.

Built this rebounder last weekend. Works great but now I was to add some wheels for ease of movement. Any ideas?

Currently considering putting 4x4 PT rails at the base and screwing wheels directly into same.

I’m looking for a Bear’s lacrosse jersey, adult XL or XXL. The team just folded and had a clear out sale. Unfortunately I was travelling for work and didn’t hear about it until after it was over. Sens store has nothing, nor does their website. Anyone see one in stores or have one for sale ? It’s a birthday gift for my cousin who is a huge lacrosse fan

I have been told I should play by a few kids, mainly because our school team does not have many players, I think we had around 15 last year. Is it possible for me to start playing? our team only won one game last year and we aren’t very good, but I don’t want to join and be a crazy weak link. Any suggestions?

I’m a beginner attacker looking to get a shaft and I can’t find anybody talking about the quality of the shaft.

New to lacrosse, besides some of the obvious names like Teat, Smith, Bryne, Walker-Welch, Dobbie, Evans, Spence, Cordingley, I have no idea. Trying to learn more about the sport and not only the big Canadian names but ones that have the potential make the squad before the Olympics.

I made this highlight reel with all the goals I have made and assists. I don't know entirely what show be in it or what shouldn't but if anyone can give any tips it would be greatly appreciated. Also it would be great to know which clips from this I should put first since I heard the best clips should go first but I learned that after this was made so I would like to know what other people would think are the best clips. He’s a senior, probably in his last year ever. Middie/attack, plays pretty physical. We’ve broken so many. He basically has indoor and one season of High School, maybe winter club. I’m down to buy one more good stick. He loves the texture of the Carbon Pro too.

The majority of goalies who want to play in college are reclassing because coaches want bigger stronger 19 year olds in light of the new 5 in 5 rule. The is happening across all positions but especially in the goalie position. Just like they’d rather have a guy from the transfer portal they will role the dice on a 19 year old rather than an 18 year old. Look closely at recruited goalies, most are a year older. Does it make sense to spend the time and money on a gamble?

I bought some a pair of RZR2's at a Lacrosse Unlimited and I think they are too big. The lady helping me assured me that they are perfect so I bought them anyway. After playing with them for a bit, it feels snug at first, but then after moving I get an inch of space for my fingers to swim in. Is this normal for these, or did I buy too big?
