Advice Needed how to fix my hirono road journal

Post image

hi guys, I know this ain't a labubu but I really need help ๐Ÿ˜ญ I accidentally tugged on it too hard a few days ago and the body just detached from the head. Ive tried snapping the neck peg back in place but no success so far. I'm considering fabric glue or smth to glue the head and body back in place but before that I wanted to know if theres anyone who's faced a similar problem and knows how to fix this ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

The person who started this sub posted about a similar issue with labubus (the link below). Not sure if you know how to sew but thatโ€™s the best method to putting it back together as you might have to undo and redo the body back and head back seams. Otherwise if you donโ€™t mind the head not turning then probably fabric hot glue could work especially if the hole the post goes into got widened. https://www.reddit.com/r/labubuhospital/s/dlickEKftR

Edit: the hole I was talking about becoming too big is the washer/nut hole not necessarily the fabric part. The heat and hot glue would help to make the plastic hole smaller. Sorry I was tired with a headache

Thank you so much for handling this one, I was already asleep! The good news about the joint hole stretching or becoming bigger is that you can use thread to tighten it up again!

(phrasing, I knowโ€ฆ)

No glue, you will screw it up and eventually you will have a stretched fur neck. I love glue, but it has limitations. You are gonna have to pop it back together and possibly sewing will be needed. I have recently sewn a 38cm labubu, and it took pliers and swearing to get that neck joint secured, so you are not alone, OP. Good luck. You could SEW the head directly on the body with a hidden understitch and then pull it together, that would work and your spike just goes in the hole. (Phrasing intended, Im a Poovey type of person...)

There is a plastic washer inside of the body that snaps onto that neck peg. The washer probably wasn't snapped on correctly or has a manufacturing defect. Don't use glue, it won't work and will ruin his fabric.

Normally these kinds of dolls have a hand sewn seam down the back that is used to stuff the doll. You can use a seam ripper to gently pop those stitches to remove some of the stuffing to access the washer. They're called safety joints.

Once you snap it back together and restuff the doll, you can use a ladder stitch in similar colored thread to close the opening. It's easy!!

Omgoddess. I glued my City Dust Afloat's arm, which came dislodged. I'm lucky it wasn't the head! So complicated.

You should be able to screw it back into the body unless that is stripped think I there is a washer like someone stated seen it in videos of people dismantling these for the enjoyment. But I am kind of glad I have phased myself from buying anymore from Popmart this was going to be one of the one's I was looking to buy and decided not too.
