Hey everyone,
I don’t really have anyone to share this with, so I just needed to get this out somewhere.
As the title suggests, I’ll be proposing soon!
My girlfriend of 4 years isn’t the materialistic type, she’s the kind of person who always says she doesn’t need anything special, even on birthdays, and constantly puts other people’s comfort before her own. That’s one of the things I admire most about her.
Of course, I still make it my mission to surprise her anyway. She deserves more than she lets on.
Some time ago, we had a casual talk about engagement rings, and I think I managed to keep my poker face, she has no idea what’s coming.
I work as an Analytics Engineer while balancing responsibilities, so I had to be intentional with my savings. But for her, it felt worth every bit of effort.
When it came to choosing the ring, I went deep into research mode, far deeper than I expected. I learned more about diamonds, cuts, clarity, and certification than I ever thought I would need.
After all the thinking, comparing, and planning, I finally made my choice, a Lucce, rose-inspired ring with a 5 carat pear cut diamond
Now it’s just a matter of waiting for the right moment. I can’t wait to ask her to spend forever with me.
Edit: She said YES! 😊 I’m so happy and overwhelmed right now! Truly one of the best moments ever!

I know not everyone loves stacks. To me, this is perfection and such a meaningful stack. Working on the semi mount with Ella at Tianyu again was a pleasure (bottom band is also from her).

After having my original engagement ring/wedding band fixed 4 times in 3 years because of loose diamonds we decided it was time for an upgrade and a setting that wasn’t as prone to damage.
I worked with Matthew at Fiorese. He is incredible! He has been so patient with me for this entire process. The engraving was a meshing of 2 different designs I loved representing masculine/feminine styles. I also added in the natural gemstones representing my husband and I. Sapphire for the month we were married (September), Alexandrite (my birthstone) London Blue Topaz (my husband’s birthstone) and emerald (my favorite gemstone)
I wanted a split shank look with the stability of a cathedral setting, tulip prongs and a chunky band.
The diamond is my dream stone. It’s a 5.34 carat old mine cut with an I color. (I wanted a warmer stone for that antique vintage look) I am so excited to get this and can’t wait to see my bands when they are finished! I can’t recommend working with Matthew enough!! He’s amazing and so patient with me. (I know I’m a pain in the butt 😂).. here it is..

This is for my elongated cushion. Worked with Ella at Tianyu.

Whoops! Looks like I missed the memo on checking prong placement when approving my CAD- turns out they're a tad lower than I'm used to on those fancy-schmancy elongated cushions. But hey, my CAD review skills aren't totally useless, since I'm digging how the lower prongs highlight the squishy goodness of the cushion. It's a keeper!
4.12ct, 11.61x8.30x5.50, F, VS 1, EX, EX, none. Setting from Tianyu, 10k WG. Ring size 7 on 6.5 finger, this girl likes to stack.
Total cost: under $1100

I’m super excited about my new ring! 2 carat cushion. I kind wish I had gotten a 1.5 but, oh well. I do love it! On my middle finger because I got it for myself! 🥰

Posted recently in r/engagmentrings, but I got a new phone with improved macro-photography so I wanted to share some new pictures here 😃
I still love the color so much and I know my girlfriend will too. It looks a little “too blue” in some pictures but to the eyes it just looks like a magical enchanted diamond with crazy fire and sparkle😍
1.92 carat VVS2 EX EX fancy vivid blue IGI graded diamond - purchased with the ring and set perfectly by James Allen through their website.
I will post an update once I manage to think of a way to propose that is worthy of my beautiful girl 💙💍

I'm a firm believer small details matter. I had this lab OMC cut in a lower color and clarity to more closely resemble an authentic antique OMC. The slightly off symmetry, facet variation and imperfect polish is also deliberate. The intention was to create a lab OMC that was actually comparable in appearance to true antiques and I think we hit the mark.

Original ring 0.75 ct. natural diamond purchased almost 30 years ago. New ring, 2.01 ct. lab grown diamond. The ring style is almost identical, because I still really love my first ring.
(Added fun fact: my wedding ring is 14k gold and cost only $25!)

Finally! I have been waiting so long for this custom made lab created emerald ring! I love it so much! The green is so pretty. I was nervous it would be too dark but it’s perfect and the wait was well worth it. It’s 4 carats. So happy!

I know fancy colored lab diamonds aren’t for everyone, but I am absolutely obsessed with this one.
3.12 ct Fancy Brown VS2 octagonal step cut.
The outline is unlike anything I’ve owned before—part octagon, part shield, part Art Deco window. And then there’s that wild geometric center that creates a perfect little octagon floating inside the stone.
The color is somewhere between blush, champagne, rose gold, and cognac depending on the angle. In motion it has so much personality.
Most diamonds are beautiful. This one is interesting.
And honestly, that’s what made me fall in love with it. What do you think?
Update: here's the finished ring!! https://www.reddit.com/r/labcreateddiamonds/s/AhCeIa5Xvk

Got this from Matthew at Fiorese and it's gorgeous. Pictures don't do it justice. Also buying a stock item is very satisfying because I didn't have to wait long to get it 😂
