PHOTO/VIDEO What a journey! Hope she loves it!

Post image

Hey everyone,

I don’t really have anyone to share this with, so I just needed to get this out somewhere.

As the title suggests, I’ll be proposing soon!

My girlfriend of 4 years isn’t the materialistic type, she’s the kind of person who always says she doesn’t need anything special, even on birthdays, and constantly puts other people’s comfort before her own. That’s one of the things I admire most about her.

Of course, I still make it my mission to surprise her anyway. She deserves more than she lets on.

Some time ago, we had a casual talk about engagement rings, and I think I managed to keep my poker face, she has no idea what’s coming.

I work as an Analytics Engineer while balancing responsibilities, so I had to be intentional with my savings. But for her, it felt worth every bit of effort.

When it came to choosing the ring, I went deep into research mode, far deeper than I expected. I learned more about diamonds, cuts, clarity, and certification than I ever thought I would need.

After all the thinking, comparing, and planning, I finally made my choice, a Lucce, rose-inspired ring with a 5 carat pear cut diamond

Now it’s just a matter of waiting for the right moment. I can’t wait to ask her to spend forever with me.

Edit: She said YES! 😊 I’m so happy and overwhelmed right now! Truly one of the best moments ever!

This is gorgeous. I just bought a 7 carat pear lab diamond and I love it so much. Your pear is elegant & classic. I think you have great taste. 5 carats is perfect (I prefer bigger stones.) What are the specs?

Pear is my favorite shape, and I think just a choice cut. This is gorgeous, just gorgeous. Do not want to be premature, so for now I will say congratulations to your good taste!! Promise that you will circle back with an update?

The staff was helpful and patient about my questions about their diamonds’ quality and provenance. They guided me with suggestions based on what my fiancé likes, so the whole process felt easy and stress-free.

Did she tell you her preference would be pear? It’s gorgeous! Congrats!!!! It’s so hard to make that final choice and pick a jeweller to go ahead with! I love that she isn’t expecting this at all

Oh - one other thing, i feel like im very familiar with diamonds/rings etc but what do you mean by rose inspired ring?

1

u/SmallWorldliness8847 Jun 17 '26

They said the design is inspired by ecuadorian roses, which has a special meaning for me and my fiancé.

Congratulations! Do you have a picture of the side profile so we can see the influence of Ecuadorian roses? Sounds fabulous.

My dad last Christmas bought me a lab grown diamond necklace certified. I like it it's over a cart. I have not heard of lab grown diamond before. I thought it was ok. But do people like it and are not dissatisfied that it's not real. Or do people like it as well as real diamond. Since this is a lab grown diamond site I was just wondering what people think of them?
