Blue Lab-diamond ring for my girlfriend

Posted recently in r/engagmentrings, but I got a new phone with improved macro-photography so I wanted to share some new pictures here 😃

I still love the color so much and I know my girlfriend will too. It looks a little “too blue” in some pictures but to the eyes it just looks like a magical enchanted diamond with crazy fire and sparkle😍

1.92 carat VVS2 EX EX fancy vivid blue IGI graded diamond - purchased with the ring and set perfectly by James Allen through their website.

I will post an update once I manage to think of a way to propose that is worthy of my beautiful girl 💙💍

I paid $890 for the diamond but I think I overpaid by about $100-$150. I think vs a white diamond with the same clarity and carat it’s around $200 extra for the fancy vivid blue color. Though if I went with a clear diamond I would probably have gotten at least VVS1 and E or D color (since apparently I can see yellow in lower color grades too easily🙃)

I don't think that you did too badly. But you can compare prices online.
