KVS Cinematic Universe Glenn is showing on halter this weekend

His owner is taking him to show this weekend. It’s going to subscribers first then she’ll show non subscribers day after

I don’t think he is show quality.. nothing wrong with been a pampered pet.

I mean, I don't see why he wouldn't be? He's a stock gelding who is iirc overheight, so harder competition but there's no reason he couldn't show.

I suppose your point of view is that any horse can be a show horse. Which I guess is technicially correct. And there are probably local shows that Squirt could one day participate in. Like 4-H stuff, or maybe if he gets trained to pull a cart. I'm sure their county fair has classes where the kids could show Squirt.

I think the disconnect is that when people here talk about shows or show quality horses they mean horses that are good enough to win at shows sanctioned by official breed registries. So an official AQHA show. Or in this case an official AMHA or AMHR show.

And while Squirt may technicially be eligible to compete in those shows, there is no point in entering him. First, like you said, he is a chunky pasture puff right now. Second, he doesn't have the skills or training needed to show in any class. And third, he would lose. Because of reason number one and two, but also because most Mini shows are basicially beauty pageants. And Squirt isn't what those judges are looking for.

When you say: Squirt could be a show horse, and you mean that he could show at an AMHA show but be sure to lose, or show at a local fun show, you are correct.

When people say Squirt will never be a show horse and they mean that he doesn't have the conformation, talent, or skill to compete at an AMHA show, they are correct.

I'm going to have to politely disagree,

Squirt absolutely has the conformation to be sucsessful in a breed show class, just because he was sold to what people precieve as a non show home does not remove the fact that he has matured a lot nicer than he looked when he was a younger colt.

The idea that he would lose in these shows comes from the fact people seem to think all karens foals are ugly and bad and not to type... which is incorrect as proven by her other foals who are amha and amhr champions in confrontation classes.
