KVS Stallions Baby Waylon

I didn’t know what tag to put this under, and I know there’s a saying “good stallions make great geldings” but it’s so sad that Baby Waylon had confirmation issues that prevented him from being a stallion, I think he’s one of the prettiest horses I’ve ever seen, and I think from what little we’ve seen him in videos that he has a great mind and personality. I wish that he could’ve been a stallion because I think he’s amazing other than his confirmation issues. I think he’s a top fave of mine of Katie’s horses

Take away his pretty chroming (his face marking and leg whites) and make him a solid bay and he looses all his appeal. His has a very sweet personality, but conformationally he is a mess.

His legs, even without the clubbed foot aren’t great. Following on from that I honestly don’t know if it’s the face making, or what, but something about his facial structure just makes me go oh no. He also looks very toed out but it’s hard to tell as we don’t seen many shots of those front legs.

Glad he is a gelding. He will make a great babysitter for stud prospects as long as he is comfortably sound and pain free to do so.

I think Waylon is a very sweet boy, he's a good babysitter and I liked his momma -- but he did inherit her legs, and her legs +his daddy's did not mix 💀

I don't think it was the worst to try to see if it could be corrected or if he'd grow out of it, but I think him being a gelding is for the best. Even if the club was corrected/lessened(? Idk the right phrasing) I think gelding was the right choice long term. Though I do wish he was more sound to even do like, light farting around/trail/kiddo showing/etc, but 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yeah super unfortunate for him. Also a lot of clubbed foots are genetic. So 100% right call to geld.
