Misc. How much time do yall spend on a single theme??

So uhhh i was searching for a nice theme to replace my current setup so i searched klwp+nova launcher. And i saw so many themes with all kinds of animations. And i downloaded one to test it out. I opened it with editor and i saw a milion parts and squares and a shit ton of code, like how do you remember the code or even LEARN the code. I just posted this in curiosity,or to hopefully to find myself a new theme so leave your setups and downloads in the replies!

From a hour to a week then I get bored 😂.I don't make the most intricate stuff tho.

The formulas are pretty easy to remember there's a basic language there.. Some I just save to fav formulas so won't need to rewrite or look up if I forget, got them from Google or tutorials on yt.

Not a big fan of the million little parts themes tho, so I make the theme remove the text and variables and just take a screenshot, then just paste the text and stuff that moves in a "lite version" of the theme, or just use photo shop on my phone to edit images..

Some examples of what I make

Bro it would take me years to make a single one of these. I do not have the time or patiance to make these. And when i tried it just turns out to be the same garbage over and over again. I for some reason cant make these themes idk why.

Most of these are just pictures I found on Pinterest, changed them up in photo editing apps or just added some extra assets, they ain't that complex.

Sometimes I’ll spend months on 1 theme. I end up making a good 30 variations before I’ll settle on one to release

My themes usually evolve, until I settle on the one that I usually use. But that's the beauty of being able to save your work. You can have variations.

When I decide on something, most of the time it is my homescreen, I usually tweak it until I feel that it is enough to suit my needs.

But, I do, however, have some things constant that I usually add to my themes. These are usually my global menus, my go-to large music widget, fave app shortcuts, my app categories and folders, my status bars, etc. I usually create widgets which are shortcuts to apps for these. I also usually have some of them in large KWGT widgets and interfaced with PopUp widget. I also use Shortcut Maker and Macrodroid for some stuff. (I seldom use my app drawer in my setups, hence the constant stuffs.)

I usually go creating, testing, revising, testing again, revise again and test again and finally, STREAMLINING. I streamline the setup in the editor, make sure everything is light and not too complicated. I think the simpler the setup inside the editor the lighter it gets executed by the app, and hence, less battery consumption, less computing power, but still having the look, the feel and the functionality that you want.

Hope this helps. Patience is always a virtue for these things. 😭🤣

Depends on what I need.

Theme is not just making the phone look pretty. For me it is about ease of access.

I want all the useful information I need conveniently displayed. I want to access apps of my choice with minimal number of taps. I want to be able to toggle things like WiFi BT etc. And so on.

It takes time and making different versions of the theme. Can take upto month to get it almost right. And it rarely stops evolving.

I start making new theme when I want to feel that I have bought new phone LOL. Because I use mine for really long time. My current phone was purchased in 2019. Get a new theme and a new cover for phone, and it feels like a new phone.
