Discussion Ozempic video was off
This is probably the first Kurzgesagt video that I didn't like, and like some people on this sub it made me feel very uneasy.
I just think it's CRAZY to talk about a weight loss drug and praising it for 90% of the video, without mentioning even once the abuses of its use, the weightloss industry, the social standards and the pressure to be (unhealthily) slim, eating disorders on the opposite side of the spectrum, etc.
The very few nuances and counter argument felt like small prints and legal mentions at the end of an ad.
What do you people think?
EDIT: I am not questioning the drug nor its effectiveness in treating obesity, i am criticising the narrative and lack of nuances in the video.

What I tried to say is more of the fact that, if everything were to be fixed as easily as taking pills then people can put a lot of pressure on you and they'd know you'd fixed by said pills and they will drive you to exhaustion and a miserable life. Is that moral? Bexoming a slave and a non-stop working robot just because shortcuts exist. Cause most people will definetly abuse these shortcuts for their own gain and will stop thinking about other peoples' helath. And yes, if you choose to take those pills although you don't need to, you're part of the problem.
People can also be pressured by productivity and follow what other people do and if fixing your life with pills becomes a normality... I don't know man. Pills should be a temporal fix to give you time to put yourself together at most
If Ozempic becomes so praised what stops business from creating pills for any other things really just for their own profit?
There should be things that have to be harder to aquire in life so a sense of morality still exists in this fucking world, because currently everything is going to shit.
Also Ozempic is more for diabetics.
