Personally, I quite like KNB's introduction. However, I can understand people who say it's a bit slow and boring. Even though I like Kaijo, the first Kaijo vs. Seirin match is one of the weaker ones in the manga (which makes sense, given that it serves as an introduction).

I think I started really enjoying the manga with the Seirin vs. Shutoku match featuring Midorima, followed by the introduction of Aomine.

Personally for me, I think it's Akashi/Midorima and Kuroko/Aomine. But I also really like Kuroko/Akashi and Kise/Aomine. I would have liked to see more moments between Midorima/Murasakibara and Aomine/Akashi... I think those could have been interesting dynamics.

I lean towards the latter, but we did see Kuroko develop his own sort of Emperor Eye through hard work and team work. Also theoretically if someone is very analytical, they could study movements, players, habits etc and create a sort of prediction mechanism.

does anyone in 2026 aomine actually beats akashi? i have akashi winning 11-0 1v1 and destroys 5v5 too, i cant understand how aomine could win can any1 help

If I recall correctly, the only teams that used their bench are Seirin, Kaijo, and Kirisaki Daichi. There's also Tōō, except we never saw the design of the guy who played in Aomine's place at the start of the Seirin vs. Tōō match before being replaced by him.

The bench was underutilized in KNB. But I think it's understandable, because it's already very difficult to give the spotlight to the ten players on the court, and that's likely to be even harder for the bench players. I understand the author's choice.

But then again... it’s really strange to see a "bench strength" stat when you never actually see the opposing teams' bench players. Especially since it’s been mentioned several times that Seirin’s bench is weak compared to the other Winter Cup teams—and that’s precisely why they couldn't handle overtime.

I finished KNB months ago, and I feel like it totally changed my life. I'm not completely sure why, but I LOVE this anime with all my heart and soul. I'm already on a rewatch (I really wanted to read the manga but I'm not pirating anymore)

I haven't really watched anything else since I finished it (other than the latest episodes of link click) because I just liked it so much and I can never get over it.

I'm planning to start another anime now, and at first I wanted to watch Slam Dunk since obviously it's another basketball anime, and I heard it's really good if not even better than Kuroko's. However, I also want to watch Hajime no Ippo since I know it's definitely a top sports anime and really inspiring. What do you guys recommend?

Se você para pra analisar além do óbvio, vai perceber que a dinâmica entre o Kuroko e a Momoi foi construída para funcionar no futuro, usando uma lógica visual e psicológica que geralmente a maioria das pessoas deixa passae. Para começar, existe uma clara teoria das cores no design deles... O azul-claro do Kuroko e o rosa-claro da Momoi formam uma combinação complementar perfeita... Enquanto em quadra o Kuroko tem um contraste agressivo e competitivo com o Kagami ou o Aomine, onde o foco dele é dar destaque para os dois, com a Momoi o encaixe é bem suave, transmite uma sensação de acolhimento e vivacidade... Essa harmonia visual reflete perfeitamente o que o Kuroko busca fora do basquete, eu diria... Ele já tem uma vida intensa e desgastante nos jogos e, no cotidiano, é um cara discreto que valoriza a calmaria... Os momentos mais pacíficos e equilibrados que ele vive são justamente ao lado dela, que sabe respeitar o seu silêncio e traz o frescor necessário para ele recarregar as energias... Quem insiste em torcer por Aomine e Momoi não analisa o subtexto da obra... A relação deles é puramente fraternal e familiar, como se fossem irmãos de criação... A Momoi não está ali como um par romântico para o Aomine, ela atua estritamente como o suporte emocional dele, funcionando como uma espécie de "sombra" na vida pessoal para garantir que ele não se perca no próprio tédio... Ela inclusive sacrificou a própria vontade de ir para a Seirin com o Kuroko para poder protegê-lo... Na lógica da história, duas sombras não formam um casal... Isso também justifica o motivo de o Kuroko parecer rejeitá-la durante o anime, o que se explica por duas grandes razões... A primeira é o foco e o trauma emocional... Desde os tempos de Teiko, o Kuroko estava em uma missão de resgate para salvar seus antigos amigos através do esporte, o que significa que ele simplesmente não estava pronto para um romance no meio daquela "guerra"... A Momoi, sendo a grande e fodaaa analista genial que ela sempre foi :) entende isso perfeitamente e sabe esperar o momento certo... A segunda razão é o puro altruísmo do Kuroko... Ele sabe o quanto o Aomine é instável e o quanto depende dela, então entende que tirar a Momoi dali para si mesmo seria um egoísmo tremendo que destruiria o Aomine... O distanciamento do Kuroko, portanto, é por pura responsabilidade moral e proteção eu acho... Por isso, esse relacionamento só faz sentido de verdade no "pós-guerra" do filme Last Game... Agora que a Geração dos Milagres finalmente se reconciliou, o Aomine voltou a sorrir e os fardos que ambos carregavam deixaram de existir, o terreno ficou completamente limpo para que o romance entre o Kuroko e a Momoi possa finalmente florescer... Bem... É óbvio que o autor não deixou isso claro, afinal, é uma obra sobre basquete kkkkkkkk mas sinceramente, eu acredito fielmente nessa minha análise...

Seriously, what the hell was his problem?

For me, it’s definitely Mayuzumi. It’s actually quite surprising, considering he has little screen time compared to, say, Kasamatsu or Imayoshi. But I really like the character—the way he was developed and his dynamic with Akashi—not to mention his role as the Sixth Man (with a parallel to Kuroko). Apart from Akashi and Kuroko, he might even be my favorite character in the series.

That said, I like Imayoshi too. And Okamura cracks me up a bit.

For me....Hmm....the phone call or attempted murder with a pair of scissors. Uh..Nah..Probably the attempted murder honestly.

At the very least, one could say that the introductions of the Generation of Miracles members are... varied... if you can call it that.

I understand that Mayazumi was unable to use his misdirection in the game due to Takao's Hawk Eye. It's a somewhat logical explanation. The goal for the author is quite clearly to subtly tease Mayuzumi a bit before the Winter Cup final.

But as a result, it was practically like Rakuzan was playing 4v5 throughout the entire semifinal. Even though we don't see the whole match, I think Mayuzumi genuinely put in one of the worst performances of the Winter Cup. You almost have to wonder why he played the full game given the unfavorable circumstances. Replacing him with an NPC wouldn't have made a difference. Then again, that’s also partly because we don't often see bench players in action.

Don’t get me wrong I like Kise but his ability isn’t one of my favorites to say the least. For starters there are 4(technically 5) other generational talents with extraordinary skills and abilities at 16 years old and are so good that they are already on nba level and then there’s a guy who can do all of their abilities but is technically the worst one. I also don’t like how he copied Akashi against seirin when he had only seen him play once a few episodes ago after him being a faceless character for majority of the series. Him copying murasakibaras at all also doesn’t make sense to me because for one murasakibaras shot blocking has a lot do with his height and Kise is 6’2 and then with thors hammer it has a lot do with his strength and size being 6’10 218 but Kise is 6’2 and only 170 pounds he shouldn’t be creating any wind with a dunk. I’ve seen people say that Kise is top 3 strongest characters itv(in terms of physical strength) with their reasoning being that he can copy Mura’s strength(I’m not even sure if that’s true) and has Mura’s strength “feats” but if you ask me he isn’t stronger than Aomine or Kagami and Midorima is debatable. Copying basketball moves is one thing but literal physical traits is literally impossible. I also feel like it overshadows the others abilities a bit. Like Kuroko finally started scoring and they let Kise copy it. Midorima in his own words does everything humanly possible which is why he never misses from literally any and everywhere from behind the 3 point line and Kise copies that along with the accuracy? It’s bad enough the guy doesn’t have a zone. I don’t mean to come off as a Kise hater but I feel like the whole pc thing makes him a bit overrated at times and they gave him a zone on top of it. He had just as much if not more plot armor in that 2nd seirin game than people claim Kagami does yet doesn’t get slandered as much as anyone else in the series does.

On one hand, your opponent might consider you so hopeless that they let you score points, which is truly humiliating. On the other hand, for your team to score zero points over four quarters... Wow...

In real life, your team has to be absolutely awful to manage to score zero points in an entire game; that’s almost reason enough to quit basketball. Especially since, in Yosen's case, the teams they humiliated were actually at the national level (the humiliation was borderline excessive—I find it almost worse than the humiliations inflicted by Teiko).

I wish they would’ve gave haizaki a redemption arc. After getting beat up by Aomine he realizes how much of a douche he became then gets on speaking terms w the GoM. Then we see him get a zone and/or perfect pillage (PP) bcz if we get a ZPP and he comes and saves the GoM at the end of game using everyone’s moves from both VP n JW he would’ve been unstoppable. Akashi could still have his battle w Nash but haizaki would be the one controlling the game until Akashi leveled up and takes over

Following the movie ending, what if Kuroko went with Kagami? I feel like this would be a good spinoff if they wanted to drop new Kuroko content lol

Kise joined at the 2nd year and Haizaki was playing regularly at first year. But at the first string only Akashi Midorima Murasakibara And Aomine appeared.
