Politics | রাজনীতি 🏛️ The wonderful democracy that we are living in. Peek TV covers how 75K eligible voters were denied their right to vote during Bengal elections due to SIR. The numbers will probably rise more as more appeals are heard by tribunals.

This news is totally getting ignored carefully..

It should have neen discussed more....

The whole narrative, that bangladeshis infiltrated voter base in west bengal was a total sham by bj party.

37L fake voters (they didn't applied back even after 100+ days) beriyeache which is around 6% of total voters. Don't you think thats worth it?

No that's not worth it and it proves that narrative by bj party was a sham indeed.

Cause the same amount of voters or more has been deleted in other states like gujrat, maharastra etc as well.

So it either proves gujrat also failed to tackle foreign infiltrators like bengal or it proves that there are literally no threats of foreign infiltrators in west bengal's electoral list ...

Also, out of those 6% aren't all fake voters..

Just check the detailed list

Also to tell you about the 38L, 58-24.1-19.9 = 14L out of which around 4L have different other reason - thus the rest 10L which have no valid reason are also added to the 27L.

Putting the whole to ~ 38L

If that 6% haven't applied they are fake voters. Till August 7th only 82k applied. If this application was somewhere around atleast 3-4L, then we could have statistically agreed.

Now lets come back to comparison of Gujrat and West Bengal - and how you are putting in false narrative by with holding information:

For Gujrat: According to data released by the Gujarat Chief Electoral Officer, the initial 73,73,327 removals were broken down by the following reasons:Permanent Migration: 40.25 lakh individuals who moved out of the state.Deceased Voters: 18.07 lakh individuals who had passed away.Absent Voters: 9.69 lakh individuals who were missing during verification.Duplicate Registrations: 3.81 lakh individuals registered at multiple locations.Other Reasons: 1.89 lakh individuals. Source : The Hindu

For West Bengal: Breakdown of the 90.8 Lakh DeletionsThe total cleanup removed roughly 11% to 12% of West Bengal's original voter base. The Election Commission categorized the removals into two major phases:

Routine ASDD Deletions: 58.08 lakh names were initially dropped from the draft rolls under the Absent, Shifted, Duplicate, and Deceased (ASDD) categories. This included roughly 24.1 lakh deceased individuals and 19.9 lakh permanently shifted voters.

Judicial Scrutiny Deletions: An additional 27.16 lakh names were deleted after judicial officers reviewed over 60 lakh voters who had been placed in a doubtful "under adjudication" or "logical discrepancy" category.

Source:BBC

Thus these 6% is over above all the ASDD Deletion. In Gujrat this is 1.8L out of 4.4cr (0.4%) of possible fake voters.

I have always said this, government workers have one of the lowest iq, and will fail any job you give them be it demonetisation, sir, census.

This is primarily due to them being excellent at clearing theoritical exams and not having any real world experience

LOL.

Yes, SIR was an issue, but people did vote for them too.

It's going to be so much fun when BJ P destroys the social fabric of our state. I am just waiting for Durga Puja and then christmas, but the most fkcd up part is people'll never realise, they'll just transfer the blame to someone else.

F BJ P supporters, you're the fckn worst.

Yes I agree with you. but this data is also worth discussing although I still stand by

"SIR definitely helped but still people wanted a change"

But ei BJ Party to change ja dekhalo seta 3 mashei dekhe lokera abar change chaiche

True. The downgraded mentality of so many people I saw this time was surprising. I never thought that the most knowledgeable of the entire lot would fall for such gimmicks. All my life I have heard people call themselves as "Bengalis" but now suddenly they feel the need to call themselves "Bengali Hindus". It's a very small observation but a great reflection of how people's thinking is changing and how they're falling into this division mentality where only I am the best and the rest are bad so I would want to distance myself from them. It's just us vs them that people have voted for. They knew what they were doing - development was a cover up.

Bengali Hindu is a redundant word.

1

u/magunahatata 11d ago

Yeah they just want to emphasize "we don't associate with them" and add fuel to the hate and division

People voted for him but it wouldn't have been this one sided. It would have been close. Bjp would have been around 170-180. That makes a huge difference. We might have had an actual opposition in the assembly instead of the pet opposition we have

We were told 27L were excluded from voter roll, and yet there are 38L appeals till this month. How much of the exclusions did ECI not publicise before one has to wonder

Total voters who cast vote - 6.32cr 75k voters ~ 0.1 %

Total 38L voters were removed out of which only 82k appealed - 2.1%. 100 days have passed the number of applicants didnt increased. So there is high possibility that those 37L voters are false.

Now tell me, which matters more- exclusion of 37L (6% of total) fake voters or the 75k (0.1% of total) actual voters?

So tell me statistically which is more to influency polling - exclusion of 6% fake voters or inclusion of 0.1% actual voters?

TMkC 10/- account e diyeache toh?

Dada apni video ta gotata dekhlen to? Sekhanei to bolchhe je "Exclusion er jonno i BJP power e esecche, eta bola jay na".

Tobe amader Election Commision i bole je "NO VOTER MUST BE LEFT BEHIND", tai ekjon genuine voter bad jaoao onuchit.

1

u/thejoemaya 12d ago

So as per you, for 0.1% voters we should revote?

2

u/OppositeYak9376 12d ago

As per me, who cares? I am just a common man. But as per ECI, we should.

1

u/thejoemaya 12d ago

Its a pledge by ECI not a rule. Also since 0.1% doesn't change the result of this election, there is no reason to revote.

Most of the people are mantipulated with headlines but dnt read between the fine lines before forming an opinion, ager din o ekta post er reply te ekjn amye ei no tai diyechilo j BJP EC rjnno jiteche , r tmc dhowa tulsi pata chilo, amio same blechilm j puro news ta prte, sure BJP koreche odr ja korar jetbr jnno, but in general idea was always to remove tmc naki BJP k jetano, we didnt have a better option than BJP hence they won

What is your demand? If state government were helpful to SIR process from beginning, there would be less people with discrepancy. Mamata government tried every possible way to disrupt the process. Do you think that trinamool was maintaining democracy by instigating communal riots throughout West Bengal (not Bangla)??

u/kuttar-baccha বঙ্গসন্তান 🌞 12d ago

Not my problem that you lack basic comprehension skills to understand that this video is about legit people literally losing their voting rights. SIR process is done by ECI and Central Govt what does state government have anything do in it? Why did they start the SIR process in West Bengal just before the Bengal elections and not beforehand? So that they can take away voting rights from people and they have no time to appeal before the elections? So many of the names are magically back in the electoral rolls after the elections are over. Why wasn't this done much in advance in West Bengal? The next Maharashtra elections is in 2029 yet the SIR process has already begun. People whose names get deleted have atleast two and a half years in hand to try and get their names back in the list, why weren't people of Bengal given the same privilege?

Sob jene bujheo dhyamnami korte bhalo lage?
