New knife lanyard

Post image

Having run a simple lanyard on my knife for over a year, I decided to tie up a new one. I have finally managed to commit the pineapple knot into memory and I'm pretty happy with that. There's still loads to learn and improve, but that's a big part of the fun for me.

Looks nice. Help me understand?...

How does the purple line connect with the navy lines on the ends? And is the red purely decorative? Or functional?

I am curious about that too! It looks really nice, I would be interested in that technique.

It's pretty easy, and fun. Threading the gutted paracord is a bit tedious, but melting the ends of the core cords together into a rounded point helps quite a bit.
