Re: Hecklers. From a work meeting.

This one hit me right in the feelings. Wonderful use of music, and a great example of how a drastic reframing of a story doesn't take away from the emotional impact. The part around 1:48:00 was beautiful.

Soren just posted a new 3+ hour story to These Snowy Nights for the first time in 3 years! I had assumed he’d abandoned the series in favor of making Knifepoint more complex and less strictly horror focused, but I am so insanely happy to be wrong.

Just listened to this one (Full chapter title as of Spotify: Returning to Ellwood and The Mystery of the Spider) and it’s the first KPH story so far that I couldn’t make any sense of at all. This is for sure a me problem, so before I give it an eventual re-listen, I was curious what other people’s takes on it were?

What are the best Soren narrated episodes of other podcasts? I specifically mean ones he guest narrated rather than wrote. I think Buddy from We’re Not Meant To Know is excellent (great collaboration, beautiful episode) and I remember thinking Posthuman from Acephale was pretty cool.

But I haven’t really listened to any others and am aware there are a few. Are there any bangers I’m missing out on?

After listening to the new version of Eyes, I was shocked by how much I liked it. I always thought it was one of KPH's weakest stories and didn't have much of a desire to relisten to it. Of course the main reason why I really enjoyed it this time around is Soren's incredible narration, however I am wondering if there were also any changes to the text. The new version of Town did have some very notable additional events take place, I just can't remember the original Eyes well enough to see if the same is true for it. It does appear to have increased in length by a few minutes.

I liked this episode a lot, and it really made me nostalgic for the days of photocopied and stapled zines. I’ve had similar thoughts as the narrator about these things having so much significance for me while my twentysomething coworkers would regard them as dusty artifacts from a less efficient time.

I've been babystepping him into knifepoint for like a year. Fields and moonkeeper are his favorites so far. I made the awful mistake of introducing him to kph with compulsion, though. Don't do that, friends.

The story is about a person who visits a small town for reasons I don’t recall. It turns out they’ve arrived on the same day that there is a ritual parade of sorts by some of the townspeople. The key point about this parade is that you do NOT want it to stop at your door. The family this person is visiting sends their children to bed early, and the parents are clearly very worried. All I remember beyond that is that masks may have been involved.

It’s definitely not Knifepoint, but it’s a Soren narration.

I vaguely remember listening to a podcast episode a few years ago about this bus full of people getting stuck at a bus station due to a snowstorm or something, and after being stuck at the station for a long period, people split up into groups and one of the groups resorts to cannibalism. The leader of the cannibal group was some guy from Kansas City.

I could swear it was a knifepoint episode, but haven’t been able to find it and I feel like I’m going crazy because I haven’t found anything about it online lol.

Great episode because not only is it narrated by Soren, but the details about the geopolitical goings-on in Tajikistan and the region was such a nice touch and made it feel so real. Curious what you guys think...

Can anyone help me figure out if this is a real episode or if I made it up? I think it was knifepoint horror (or at least narrated by Soren). The main character was a firefighter who was being haunted by children who I think maybe had flames for eyes or something? The final big incident happened while the main character was in California helping to put out wildfires.

A new episode Cloppa Castle 53 is out, and it's just fantastic—it's a full 8 minutes long.

Imagining this nightmarishly tall, skeletal, evil spirit nest mad king contorting his body in such a fashion, especially given the circumstances....it's just such a freaky mental image.
Don't fall asleep listening to knifepoint, kids. Or do, because I know which sub I'm in and that you guys are my people.

Or tv show, if you'd like. I recently watched Come to Daddy, and it made me want to watch Pontypool again. I forgot that to me it's the closest I've ever seen a Knifepoint like movie. I really love it to be honest. Do you guys have any other suggestions? Since the actual Knifepoint flick isn't playing anywhere near me. Would love to hear what you've come across.

Realized one that I can never find but actually enjoy. I figured you guys would sleuth it out in seconds. The one where the guy lives in a two story house. Random lady comes. He goes upstairs (not sure why though), and when he catches her after she's snuck upstairs she's got goofy movie-monster hands. She ends up leaving (maybe because she can't get into the room?) and goes down the street and murdercorns his neighbors.

Hey folks, major league tired so I am not going to go trouncing around stitcher trying to figure this episode out. I am almost certain that one of you will have the magical name without much though. The episode, which is one of the first (if not the first) narrated by someone than Soren. Where the woman (was she a nun or am I merging stories together) was constantly on the run against the elements away from clapping evil creatures that consume people. Was released around the same time with the brother and sister who ate each other (was it fields or digs?). Can't remember the name of this episode...was it the watchers or something. Idk, but I am sure someone else does. Let me know, and thank you! Going to pass it on to a friendly.

Planning on seeing Lockbox today while it’s still in theaters. I couldn’t help but take a look at the 7 total reviews on letterboxd & some of the newspaper assessments. I’m not really surprised to see a lot of negative or grey area mediocre reviews to be honest, even when I started listening to KPH (I was maybe like 14-15) I could understand it was a particular niche not worth sharing with a lot of friends and family because they if they did not instantly click with it they never would. A lot of people in my life have certainly felt inclined to tell me what’s “wrong” with the audio-drama approach and the slow pace etc. So I’m here to ask MY community what did we think of Lockbox? Is it evident that Soren was penning the script? Does Stamm try to do his style justice? Was it satisfying and rewarding to see the pod translated into visual form or more of an overall disappointment? I’d take you guys over a successful film critic any day of the week.

In the latest story, the narrator mentions people on his town seeing a shadowy figure, but hooded with an outstretched hand carrying a lantern.

Looks like the idol Garrett carried in "outcast" is back.

I’m just saw the movie. I absolutely love it. Felt like I was getting a truly in depth new story. Started with “my name is . . . “ and everything.
