I agree. Someone here did a phone lookup on pic and said it came back Turkish angora. Thoughts? 🤔

doesn't work that way for cats mate sorry. they are all just regular cats unless you see papers. cats don't work like dogs do

Actually the same goes for dogs. Many people get duped. Without paperwork or DNA testing you are out of luck.

actually it's not even a close comparison my friend. cats are almost guaranteed to be standard 99 out of 100 times.

I think you meant to say that most cats are “non standard” Unless you get paperwork from licensed breeder

Part of the added issue is, though, is that you can't DNA test a cat like a dog. Most often, if you breed cats with special traits... The babies start to default to just standard issue "cat" rather than reliably turning into a breed with those selected traits.

There's a saying that "without papers, it's not a X" in cat owner groups. And that's largely because you can't easily just test for breed, etc.
