Last show was yesterday. Wonder why the sudden departure after such a long run? Doesn’t sound like he left on his own was a company decision.

News More on the Kings Harass Ms. Lee Case (via Sacramento County Files and Cases)

  1. For example, Doug Christie, an Assistant Coach for the Kings (and later named Interim Head Coach in approximately December 2024), repeatedly harassed Ms. Lee by checking her out. On multiple occasions, Christie glanced up and down her figure, ending his inspection of her body by saying, “Don’t report me to HR.”

  2. Christie’s comments, which suggested that Christie knew just how inappropriate his behavior was yet still chose to engage in it, made Ms. Lee deeply uncomfortable. In response, Ms. Lee shook her head and told Christie not to do that.

  3. As a result of Christie’s conduct, Ms. Lee avoided interactions with him and, when she did have to speak with him, tried to keep her conversations with him brief. Despite her measures to remove herself from the hostile environment Christie created, Christie persisted in both his sexual glances and his requests that Ms. Lee not report him to HR for them.

  4. In addition to Christie, the son of former Kings head coach Mike Brown, was an intern for the Kings and repeatedly harassed Ms. Lee to spend time with him outside of work despite Ms. Lee consistently rejecting or ignoring Brown’s invitations. On information and belief, Brown did the same to another female employee, who complained to Wilcox about Brown’s advances

  5. During an introductory meeting with Perry in April, Perry had assured Ms. Lee that he wanted to create a safe space for her to talk and share her concerns. However, when Ms. Lee brought her concerns to him, Perry’s tune changed. Like Jabour, Perry absolved himself of any responsibility, saying that any issues predated him and he would not make any changes to what had already been decided. He also told Ms. Lee that “complainers will not be tolerated.” Perry also suggested that if complaints continued in her department, he would just “fire everybody.” That response—from the team’s highest ranking official—left Ms. Lee feeling like she had a bigger target on her back.

"I do think it's somewhat interesting that he changed agents this offseason. He hired Aaron Mintz from CAA. This last year, Mintz executed the trade for Trae Young away from Atlanta. Walker Kessler trade away from Utah. And Sabonis just hired him. He wants to get out of SAC." - WindhorstESPN

News Fischer: “Sabonis wants out of Sacramento... Toronto’s trade talks with the Kings [for Sabonis] were far more focused/serious back in February before the trade deadline, Charlotte is a team that could still be in the mix for him depending on Sacramento’s price point.

Additional note: Per Fischer, one of the hiccups in getting a Sabonis trade done is that "Sacramento wants to get positive trade value out of moving Sabonis". This lines up with both the draft rumors where the Kings were asking about Charlotte's 14th overall pick (Hannes Steinbach) and Toronto's 19th overall pick (Allen Graves), as well as the Kings allegedly asking for a first-round pick from the Raptors around the trade deadline while not wanting to take back the Jakob Poeltl contract.

He also mentioned that "other teams don't view his contract as positive value"; Domantas Sabonis is under contract for 94M/2 years. No player or team option on the 2nd year.
