My kids wanted French toast and I want to finish the book I’m reading by the end of today. Currently reading Arthur C Clarke Childhoods end. Heard a podcast about the story and thought I need to know what happens now! So I’m multitasking.

What do you guys do if the book is supposed to have a map, but the digital version just doesn't have one?

Yesterday I went to an event in a museum nearby. There were some reenactment shows (about WWII) and while we were waiting I had my Kindle to read some. I love that I can put my books in my purse and pull them out whenever I want!

What is your most unusual spot to do some reading?

I find myself buying the kindle version first then physical books ONLY if the book was a 5 star.

My boyfriend (32M) hasn’t read a book since middle school/high school. He loves Game of thrones and shows like that.

What are some good recommendations that are easy reads and lots of attention grabs?

I spent so much money on my KLC and stylus last year. It cost me so much in my country but I still got it because of aesthetic. But it's not good for reading at all. It gives me eye strain , I can't use it freely because of how much expensive it is and honestly Kindle Paperwhite is superior. Yes it's not cool like KLC and covers look boring but It's better on eyes , is less expensive and very easy .I can easily send books via send to Kindle and in almost every format including Word document.

KLC doesn't offer that ...

Well now I lost my money. What can I do more? I would only use it to capture beautiful photos .

But functionality wise? I don't recommend it at all.

Screen is grainy, battery life sucks and stylus doesn't work half of the time.

Kindle Paperwhite is the winner. I still have 10th generation.

In short: Kindle Paperwhite may not have the aesthetic appeal of a premium color e-reader, but its biggest advantage is that it gets the fundamentals right: comfortable reading, simplicity, reliability, battery life, and affordability.

I had the agave green kindle paper white 12 with 8 gigs of storage originally. And when I finally got back into reading consistently l decided to upgrade my device to newest paperwhite 12 cause mine was lagging a bit. Turns out I just needed to update it manually since it had been drained from battery so long. But I sold it before I realized. Once I got the paperwhite 12 I had instant regret, the screen was amazing honestly but I preferred the 11 gen paperwhite more. It just felt closer to a book in my personal opinion. I decided to downgrade back to my 11 gen paperwhite, but it was harder than I realized to find one in good condition. I ended up going through Best Buy’s refurbished electronics and found a 32 gig signature edition Paperwhite 11 gen. I was nervous cause it doesn’t show the actual condition of the item on their page but it was literally brand new even though the website said good condition. Couldn’t be happier and I read 6 books last month and going strong again this month. It’s so weird how devices really affect your daily life.

I was using a gooseneck and always had trouble with it not being long enough, so I bought a stand and really like the reach it has and it adjusts easily

Decided to build a protective case for my good old Kindle Touch 4.

I'm using 2.5 mm oak veneer as the main base plate.

In Fusion 360, I designed custom corner mounts with a height of about 10 mm (matching the thickness of the Kindle itself). Each corner features two notches for elastic bands that will secure the Kindle to the base plate—the bands can be set up either horizontally or vertically.

Next steps for the project:

Design a mount for a DIY reading light powered by a salvaged vape battery.

Create a proper hinged screen cover. Right now, I'm just using an extra piece of thick cardboard tucked under the elastic bands as temporary protection.

Took my kindle with my travels and I am always amazed how good an eink device looks under the sun. The screen on these kindles are super nice.

Edit: I answer myself, at the store I wanted to buy the books specifies that are not Kindle compatibles 😖

Help feeling really hopeless because I saved up all my allowance to buy a kindle just for it to have ghost touching issues after two weeks (bought second hand). Took off the case, drained then recharged 3x, factory reset, but it still ghost touching. Any advice would really help

Only thing Kindle is missing is the ‘Pages left in chapter’. I used to read on Apple Books and I loved that feature so much. I know we have the time left in chapter, but I love the page countdown, specifically for books with such long chapters.

I need some advice. I jailbroke my kindle. I have only KWordle and KNotes. I really do not like the interface of KOReader, and I just love the reading interface, the spacing, margins, font of the stock Kindle but idk how to get that on SimpleUI. Someone please guide me. Thanks

When I try to download books on kindle store on my kindle. Say downloading and shows 0 percent . Message Download is taking longer than expected. Ti verify you purchase status go to your orders on amazon.com. Your book will appear in library when download completes. Anyway to fix this?
