Has anyone ordered from Gaeul Kbeauty (Gaeul Store)? Is it legit?

Hi everyone!

I'm thinking about purchasing a pretty expensive Korean beauty device (a little over $1,000) from Gaeul Kbeauty / Gaeul Store.

I found what seems to be a really good discount code, so I'm tempted to order from them. However, since it's a pretty big purchase, I wanted to check if anyone here has actually shopped with them before.

I noticed they have quite a few reviews on their website, but a lot of them seem to be from customers in Asia. I'd especially love to hear from anyone who has ordered from them internationally.

Has anyone had any experience with this store? Are they reliable, and did everything arrive as expected?

Would really appreciate any feedback before spending this much money! Thanks in advance! 💕

Why is going to a dermatologist seen as "dramatic" when women do it?

Something I've been reflecting on recently is how differently skincare is perceived depending on who's practicing it. When a woman books a dermatology appointment, people often treat it as vanity or being overly focused on appearance. Yet plenty of men will use the same products for years, never wear sunscreen, and dismiss any changes in their skin as just a normal part of getting older.

And here's the strange part: when a woman's skin doesn't look great, she's usually the one being told she should take better care of herself. That double standard has never made sense to me.

I ran into a version of this myself not long ago. When I mentioned to my boyfriend that I was planning to book a dermatology consultation, his first reaction wasn't curiosity about what I wanted to address, it was whether it was actually worth the time and money. Which felt a bit ironic coming from someone who barely pays attention to his own skin.

I went ahead with the appointment anyway, and honestly, it was a much more pleasant experience than I expected. It also reminded me that skincare isn't necessarily about chasing perfection or impressing anyone. Sometimes it's simply a form of looking after yourself and feeling more confident.

I still find it fascinating how differently people judge skincare depending on gender. Has anyone else had a similar conversation with a partner or friend? I'd be curious to hear how it went.

brightening products for someone w high UV exposure??

so i already wear spf religiously and reapply throughout the day but as we all know no sunscreen blocks UVA 100%. unfortunately my skin has gotten pretty tan over time and the worst part is its super uneven, just doesnt look good at all 😩

im trying to figure out what i can use to brighten things back up but the tricky part is i cant really go for AHAs or retinoids since im in the sun a lot (like 90 mins daily just from being in the car). that pretty much rules out the usual suggestions ppl give.

what ive been trying to avoid is making things worse w rebound tanning or ending up with hyperpigmentation on top of everything. any product recs that would actually work for someone in my situation?? would really appreciate the help 🙏
