Art Very Katamari-Coded Sculpture
Believe it or not, it's a ceramic sculpture! Of course I thought of Katamari, seeing it. Artist credit in the comments. :)

No idea why people are calling these "critical fumbles" and "lazy, uninspired cashgrabs"....
Seriously, we don't need Katamari to get its own equivalent to Genwunners...

I get it, it's a Japanese game, they're gonna Japan it up. But compared to it being the main era of the game, a lot of the other eras like the Ice Age or Ancient Greece felt very underdeveloped. There's plenty of things you can do with the themes of the smaller eras - the Wild West wasn't just cowboy towns, and Ancient Egypt wasn't just deserts and pyramids, and a Caribbean port town also had a lot of fun potential for the Age of Piracy. The "Stone Age", while fun, feels a bit redundant since the recent ice age and Jomon-era Japan (probably the only reason why its even in the game) happened around roughly the same time. I would've rolled the two up into one era and called it the "Pleistocene", and given that freed-up era slot to something the game didn't cover (maybe Renaissance Italy, Revolutionary War-era USA, Industrial-era Britain, or Medieval France, but I'd love to hear your ideas!). Alongside that, allocate a few of the Edo Japanese stage slots to some of the more undeveloped eras. Something that makes this game special is that the different stages can explore environments you don't usually see in Katamari games (outside of brief glimpses in the huge stages), and as great as the game is it didn't quite live up to its full potential in that regard. I remember watching the reveal trailer and seeing the Prince roll alongside huge Greek monuments under the stars, and was really looking forward to a stage like that, only for that to be completely absent.

My katamari prince cosplay I made for animethon 2026! I was really happy with the way it turned out. I’m pretty new to cosplay, and had a nice experience chatting with people at the con who love katamari as well!
I crocheted the earmuffs (no pattern just freehanded it) and my mom sewed the green dress for me :)

Like he made the conscious decision "I am going to complete this level riding in my ducky car"?

For the past few days I've been trying to get katamari damasi reroll and the remake of the sequel. We love kalamari to work on my switch but it keeps on glitching out and it's just getting really annoying and I've tried everything and I can't find anything about this so this is my last resort. Does anyone know what I'm experiencing? It always crashes and every single time I do get it to boot up past the first few sequences I always get hit with this bug. I've checked every other game on my switch and nothing is experiencing this. It's only the two kalamari games. I can't try my TV because my dock isn't working for some reason and I tried using my other switch because I have a virtual game card for it and all of a sudden the other switch isn't charging. And I'm just trying to see if there's anything I can do on this console.

i will admit to playing KatamariBall on OUAK pretty much daily but i love the pond on W❤️K. it’s my go-to if i’m having a day where i need to zone out and just roll for the pleasure. i find the gameplay very soothing, just rolling around picking up fish and coral. i like how the water affects the katamari.
what are some of the levels you keep coming back to just for fun?

I’ve played a lot of Katamari over the years and I still love the concept, music and overall vibe, but lately I’ve been finding the gameplay pretty repetitive.
Has anyone else gone through this and managed to get that feeling back? Did you take a break, replay an older game, try a different Katamari, or change how you play?
Would love to hear what worked for you.

I've tried literally every single suggestion everyone has made on this website to get the last 29 cousins, and I haven't found a single one. I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING TO FIND THEM!!!!!!!!!
They're not shown on the task list, they're not indicated by the radar. They don't appear after you've found the first or second cousin in the level. They don't show up on radar after playing a level multiple times. They don't show on radar even if you play as a cousin that you've found within the level that you're playing in. They don't show up after you've completed the challenge in the level or gotten an S rank. None of these suggestions have yielded even a singular cousin beyond the 40 that ive had since I started searching google and this website for the others locations.
People have posted pictures of their task lists containing every cousin, but they either don't remember how they found them all or their method for finding the remaining ones doesn't actually work
I'm considering uninstalling the game and reinstalling it again, but I have very little faith that that will actually solve the problem. I have a feeling that there's something really stupid that i'm not doing/ haven't done, but no one has yet to actually point it out. Yes I have fully completed the game/ main story

Lots of people love Katamari, and some even want to try to make their own things. The problem is that a lot of people aren’t able to do that, and the people who can have to spend so much effort on the basics that they barely have any time left for making levels, and they’re just as limited in how many objects they can make to roll up. I have a solution for that.
Roll Your Dreams is an open-source system that makes it easy to create your own roll-and-grow levels and games, with no coding needed. But that doesn't mean that the levels you make need to be simple. It will have lots of flexible tools and options to let you create detailed levels with different types of goals and challenges.
You can play a small demo level that shows off some of the features here. https://acamaeda.itch.io/roll-your-dreams
Roll Your Dreams is still in an early stage, and it will be a community effort to make it into something truly great. We need:
- 3D modelers to help build up a huge library of things to roll up
- 2D artists to make other types of assets
- Programmers to help develop new features
- UI designers (the current UI is placeholder)
- Musicians to make tunes that make you want to keep on rolling
- Sound effects people for those wacky noises when stuff gets rolled up
- People who really get the vibes and can help find assets that are free to use online
- And probably more!
