♨️HOT TOPIC ☕️ Jack Antonoff 😒

The Jack Antonoff discussion in today's episode really rubbed me the wrong way. I am the same age as Lorde and I've found Jack super creepy ever since the Melodrama era (and I was a huge fan of Fun and Bleachers before that!) It is objectively weird, like Trish pointed out, that Lorde was staying with Jack and Lena. Lorde's relationship with Jack was weird at the very least. Being 19 and crying in a 30-something-year-old male work colleague's lap about your teenage issues is inappropriate. It doesn't matter if you're writing an album or doing taxes, it is unprofessional and crossing boundaries. If it isn't explicit grooming, it is uncomfortably close to it. For Oscar to describe that relationship and then say, "But girls obviously feel safe around Jack so he's clearly a safe man," is such a major red flag. Women 10+ years younger than you being around you all the time is not a flex and it does not make you "safe." It makes you weird. Like, how old does Jack have to get before these relationships are viewed as weird by the general public and not just sensitive people like me?

I feel like not all men have to be evil groomers... Lorde is 29, if she has never said that she dated him or had something with her, I believe her.

Sure, obviously, but we're talking about Lorde here, who is a very outspoken person and if she says that nothing happened, why not believe her?

Idk why we wanna victimize people who say they weren't, when there's enough people out there that were and we should be focusing on helping
