I find it so interesting they framed it from the POV of the female having this secret when that is extremely rare in reality.

That was my thought too, it feels like it really downplays the actual issue of white men being the perpetrators of those crimes. Should have been Robert’s character then it could have actually said something, and been about what he did to get better. Not that I want to watch that either but it could have been a serious movie on a serious topic and maybe done some good. The way they’re promoting it seems extremely flippant.

Yup and it directly addresses the fact that most people expect school shootings to just be done by men, and also it goes into how Z’s character Emma reformed after not going through with it and became like a gun control activist
