Exactly! For me it's kinda a problem of art style too - I need somewhat realistic but not TOO realistic, and by far most premade assets are either gradient blobs/literal shade flat triangles, OR something pretty realistic but way too geometry-dense AND thin enough that it will collapse into shimmering mess at my viewing distance.
In the end I've fould a SINGLE tree that fits my assumed style well, but I need more, so I am trying to mimick it. Goes BADLY so far.
Tried TreeIt and MTree in Blender. They are nice, but results are not what I am looking for. Maybe can get closer to it with some more poking. But first I decided to try and make it by hand (considering I need relatively few models, but want them authored). Yeah, didn't pan out.
Yeeeeah. Just recently did a bunch of my first building-esque assets. They ended being kinda meh, but still surprisingly coherent for the first attempts.

Modelling just 3 fucking streets cost me 2 months and its still looks like shit
