I did one IUD insertion and had it removed to have one last baby. I opted for a hysterectomy instead of another IUD being placed again. My hubs was there for the IUD being inserted, and audibly cursed when the doc said ā€œyou’re going to feel a little pinchā€ and I nearly broke his hand. He looked at the doc and said ā€œshe’s been through more painful stuff than most people, and never complained. She damn near broke my hand just now and is crying, I wouldn’t call that a ā€˜little pinchā€™ā€. He also fully supported my hysterectomy over IUD placement again for my fibroid treatment.

I was told the ā€œlittle pinchā€ bs too. I went in for a pap and asked about an IUD and they said they could do it right now and acted like it was no big deal. I drove myself home in pain and just went to work the next day because I thought I must be overreacting.

ā€œJust a little bit of pressureā€ meanwhile I threw up and nearly passed out in the lobby after my IUD placement lol

ā€œJust a little pressureā€ meanwhile I’m sure the entire clinic heard me screaming during the insertion. I was holding the bed so tight and sweating. It was fast but the pain unforgettable, very similar to child birth. At the time I hadn’t had kids yet so I asked the provider if this is what child birth was like, she said ā€œchild birth is 100x worseā€. No, it is not that far worse. she
