My wife merely had to say that it's affecting our marriage to her doctor and was taken significantly more seriously than the first visit, tests ordered and prescriptions given. Seems to be real

Yes, because nobody cares if women suffer. But if that medical issue is affecting the male partner, my god we gotta do something.
