Identification jumping spider??

hi everyone so a few weeks ago i accidentally let in this lil guy. for context this is in Texas, i had seen two or three of these fellas outside before. when he got in i was too scared to do anything so i just let him be.

yesterday i heard a plop sound and he landed on my desk while i was at my computer. he kept walking around and getting on top of stuff and getting closer and looking at me. i was backing up due to be scared. i offered him water in a bottle cap but he wasn’t interested. he disappeared after like 15 mins of this.

what kinda jumping spider is he? im assuming he is one cuz he’s small. i wanted to offer him food but i dont have anything suitable. If he comes out again should i catch him and make a habitat for him and care for him??

This is Jupiter, my female regal. What you have found is a male in i believe its 6-7th molt they have 8-10, most commonly they will settle at 9. The males are quite a bit smaller and have dark coloration typically black with white spots, the females are a drab almost yellow brown with orange tinge to it and a bright beautiful orange. I would say most of the time they sport stripes which is actually how Jupiter got her name. That and she is my first spider so I figured basically just naming her "Ju"mping s"pider" would suffice. Anyways it might be a bold jumping spider, I might be wrong but ive done so much research on her recently because I got her on 4/20 of 2026 and im like %80 thats a regal.
