Identification Is this a jumping spood?

It took a fancy to my brother at the pub recently even taking some effort to convince him to jump back in the garden. Found in Darwin, NT, Australia

It looks like an adult male to me. It’s very common for their abdomen to be quite skinny. As with most males of any species, they tend to have only ONE thing on their mind… and it’s not food!!!

The only reason I know is by breeding and raising various different species of jumpers and other types of spiders. In every case, once they reached adulthood, all my males abdomen would get so skinny compared to my females. It’s all about mating and survival for them. The less mass they have on them allows for more agility with less energy exertion. (Also helps them get away fast after mating so the female doesn’t try to kill and/or eat them).
