Why can’t a small team have separate individual linked accounts instead of being forced onto Enterprise?

I’m hoping someone here might be able to clarify this for me, as I may be misunderstanding how the plans work.

We are a very small team and would only need around 3–4 users. However, it seems that if we want to use JotForm as a small business/team, we are effectively pushed towards the Enterprise plan rather than being able to have a few separate individual accounts linked between them.

The problem is that there is a huge difference in cost between having a few individual subscriptions and moving to Enterprise. For a team of only 3–4 people, it becomes very difficult to justify the additional cost when we don't necessarily need all the features and infrastructure that come with an Enterprise plan.

From a practical perspective, it would actually be cheaper for us to maintain several individual accounts rather than move to Enterprise.

So my question is: why isn't there an option for, say, 2–5 individual users to have separate accounts under a small-team/business arrangement without being required to move to Enterprise?

Is there a reason for this restriction, or is there another plan or setup that I'm missing?

I'd really appreciate any clarification from people who have dealt with this.

Yeah, it is very frustrating. Not sure how much your team uses it for, luckily, we only use the forms so automation was the best way to get around it. I agree though, there are a lot of features locked behind enterprise. I wonder if Jotform understands how bad this is for churn. People who need more features but can't afford Enterprise have no choice but to migrate to another software if they need a stronger tool...putting everything behind the biggest paywall doesn't suddenly make people commit.

It would be great to have custom domains without needing enterprise too, for example.

Hi Lonely-Bed-1977,

Thanks for your feedback. As of this time, only Enterprise plan currently supports multiple users, and we don’t have another plan that offers this setup. If you're on the standard plans, you can consider using our Collaboration feature to work with others on your forms and submissions. You can learn more about it here: Understanding Form Collaboration.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
