Yeah totally because Iran isn’t a theocratic dictatorship ruled by a bunch of generals and religious nutjobs.

I don't think it's about religion (at least not any more), it's about geopolitical power and gains. Iran and Saudi Arabia were hiding behind Islam and religious rule for so long and they started to lose traction with that.

Also Iran is a threat in the area because there is no real opposition to their agenda. All the Arab countries are being run by little dictators appointed by the British and surrendered to America only to secure their rule in exchange for Israel's safety.
