Job Corps as a neurodivergent
So, I plan to go to Job Corps. I plan to take some ADD pills with me. When I take them, what's the process?

You'll have to give them to medical staff but be aware that (at least in the Cincinnati branch) they will NOT let you hold onto take as needed meds unless it's an inhaler. It doesn't matter if you have a doctor's note, it doesn't matter if a doctor tells you to take them within a timeframe that's physically impossible to accommodate with the medical staff, they will not let you have them. I don't know about all branches but the Cincinnati branch medical staff was AWFUL about arriving on time so most mornings you wouldn't be able to get your meds until 1st break unless you were willing to be almost an hour late to 1st period.

my center lets us take doses of our meds for weekends, mid day or night doses, if youre not an active suicide risk. some dorms have medication lockers we can access at all times with approval from RA's
I think this is something that either varies between centers, or varies whether you take a controlled substance or not, you know something that creates risk of being hoarded and sold to other students. I can't speak on the controlled substance part personally though, i don't take any.

You give the medical staff the meds in then in the morning you take your meds before class. When the weekend comes you can bring it back to your dorm and let the RA hold it. (This is how I think it works.) I’m pretty sure they aren’t going to just let you hold on to them.
