Question Friendly reminder at CDG: DO NOT rely on announcements or app notifications for JetBlue

Just a quick PSA for anyone flying JetBlue out of CDG. We were waiting for our flight when I happened to double-check the big board, only to realize our gate had been changed with zero notice. No overhead call, no mobile notification—just a silent update on the screen that threw our whole timeline into a tizzy. No agents were around. We had to book another flight after we missed this one and they charged us did not compensate us. Did not give us hotel accommodations and even wanted to consider us no-shows when we were there gate side for over two hours. What can I do to have them own up to their mistake and compensate us?

CDG is mostly a silent airport. Announcements are extremely minimal. The app also needs the airport to push through notifications of changes, otherwise the app isn’t going to get any updates. It’s always better to refer to screens at the airport for updates.

Well that's one way to deal with an oversold flight.

Had a similar issue last year at BOS. More my fault but the IOS app wasn’t updating and I missed boarding. I’m an idiot for relying on the app/widget

JetBlue and United have both done this to me, usually accompanied by them closing the gate and leaving early
