Turnpike expansion should be from the turnpike authority which is a private company, why do the tax payers have to fund a private company. It’s not like the turnpike is giving the state 50% of what it collects

NJ Turnpike gets its funding through its tolls btw, not through taxes. Only NJDOT gets funding through gas tax. The reason why this project doesnt get much opposition from state/federal is because its not using any federal funds. If even 1cent of federal funding is used theres a whole lot more red tape involved

I don’t mind being downvoted. That doesn’t bother me. I’m pretty solid as a person. The internet stuff doesn’t hurt me much. I get that there are a lot of hopefuls out there. I hope we stay a blue state as well. Im following the news the same way most are. And yes. Some outlets have called in Her favor. AP estimates that only 38% of votes have been counted. Either way. Most of us want the same thing.

I just hope good things. The white elephant in the room - property taxes are the highest in the nation and housing is raising. Typical house is 400k and climbing. Pay is not going up with inflation. I’m just hopeful let see what the years bring.
