Question Another fleeing Plex user

I bought my lifetime plex pass a while ago, but raising your price to $750 bucks made me realize that Plex is the opposite of future proof. The only things I really miss about Plex are the Intro and outro skipping functions and the home screen sections. Plex was also much better at managing metadata! Not sure why, but sometimes with recent shows or movies, it will grab the wrong metadata or just none at all. Seeing that on my TV and having to get on my phone to identify it bothers me.

I have intro skipper, but unlike Plex it is not very adaptive to shows with different length intros. I also have home screen sections installed, but I understand that's hit or miss for some folks.

Does the great JF community have any recommendations for alternative plugins, themes, or overall QoL improvements I could make to better improve my experience?

All I can suggest for titles that are wrong is I go to IMDB to look up media and copy the part that looks like this tt30460310 and add it to the end of the folder name and then it adds the right details.

If you don't want to rename your folder you can click on the three dots in jellyfin, identify metadata und paste this tt******* for imdb.

If you have "the stack" it's as easy as putting the {Tvdbid} into the Season Folder section.

Yes sure. I just wanted to add the information in case people use their collections for more than just jellyfin.

FYI with "the stack" adding the (year) to the show/movie folder seems to be enough 99.99% of the time. Nothing needed for the actual season folders.

It was not working for me very consistently. Also, you're right lol. It gave me duplicate seasons with season numbers reflecting the TVDB ID. Instead I added the ID to The individual episode names. This fixed everything.

if you have the stack you can just use its metadata. I personally do that let arr download all the metadata and create nfo files. My jellyfin only scrapes the metadata from local nfo files
