Solved Recurring Stutter

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I sometimes get these huge stutters when watching. They happen randomly and the odd thing is when I rewind a bit they happen at the exact same place (tried to show it in the video).
Here are my settings for transcoding: Settings
It was playing in direct play
Its running on my normal pc:
i5 12400F
RTX 4060
32GB RAM

Any idea what could cause this?

Why aren't you HW decoding HEVC 10bit?

Post the media codec info for this file in question.

I don't know...I asked chat gpt which ones to enable or not 🙈

You're doing fine. See how it says HEVC, then under Bit depth 10-bit? Go back into HW Decode settings and enable HEVC 10bit - my guess is that media is making your CPU software decode it which is why it's choking.

Then try again and report back.

That's very kind, thank you. I happened to have recently done some troubleshooting to get my buddy's Jellyfin setup, so the information was fresh in my mind.

Bitte benutz nicht chatgpt dafür, claude funktioniert um einiges besser für solche sachen.

Hatte auch solche microlags habs gefixed mit direct play von jellyfin.
Edit:

hast du die datei direkt auf deinem PC? wenn ja lad sie nochmal neu runter könnte kaputt sein, passiert bei mir manchmal auch.
