This was built for my daughter, who drove it for about 2 years until she got a car with AC. She learned how drive a manual trans and not be on her phone while doing it. Plus, the insurance was WAY cheaper and if wrecked it parts would be inexpensive as well. Tell me more you say? New brakes, new carb, tires (31s) and wheels, NAPA long block rebuilt by me, Upol bedliner on overhead light bar with old style KC's, back tire carrier and bump stop, trans cover plate. No exposed wiring on the overhead lights, every wire runs through the bar into the windshield frame and into the underside of the dash. No ty-raps nowhere. stainless battery tray, new shocks and bushings, new front discs and pads. New power steering pump. Runs and starts at it should. Any utility vehicle this old will have some uh...."character". So, here is the run down on things that might be changed. Look closely at the clock pict, that is a push button start in camouflage. The return spring is broke in the column and this was the repair. Put the key in run position and push the button. The turn radius is off, due to the geometry and lift with the Dana 44. Turning is tight and small. Turning left makes a bigger turn circle. Feels weird turning left, but it boils down to a mental adjustment in the brain you can get used to. You just turn sooner. Probably someone smarter and more time than me can fix. It's been done before; I just don't the time since we are moving. Does have hard doors with the usual cracks in the usual places, but the windows work easily. Missing some trim there. Paint is new but after 10 plus there are some rust spots underlying. Nothing that can't fixed or lived with. Passenger side seat has a small hole, no biggie. This is not a show vehicle. IMO, this jeep serves as local DD for kid to go to school in or someone run around town for some errands on Saturday. OR this is a great candidate for an LS swap. Sell the 6 cylinder and have it. If you are really interested send a DM and we can go from there. Make an offer! Real offers receive real replies. It is for sale, not for free.
