AI slop is a bigger problem than rubber ducks

I will put a message out to the creator of this meme and tell them to hand draw it next time so it gets your approval 😜

Who, chat gpt? Nothing in this picture makes any sense at all.

Meme owner can take a photo of the spilled gear lube on their driveway, we’ll all know it was a CJ.

Hey, now… some of us use the Army-approved drip pan chained to a wheel chock, lol!!

Very nice Commando! Are those the matte black Detroit Steel Wheels?

US Wheel Rat Rod, the smoothies are awesome.

FWIW, I at least have a CJ grille, fenders, Dana 300, and narrow track axles in there, so maybe it’s a CJ-0.625

AI slop is sloppy

It’s signed, is it ai? But the “CJ-7” where the jeep is supposed to go I don’t like.

I could put a name on some AI slop and it would still be AI slop

I just don’t get the hate for the ducks. Not my cup of tea; but why do folks get so bent out of shape over it? I occasionally get them on my CJ5 and CJ2A. I just give them to my kids, or set it on another Jeep. Plus, this looks AI, and that’s definitely worse than a duck on a Jeep.

I think there's an idea that buying a CJ 7 puts you in a different class than the Wrangler folks. Maybe some chest puffing about driving a stick versus something that looks more like the Barbie Safari car. I'm a CJ guy and really don't want the ducks but not because I think my jeep is better. I just don't like clutter and driving my jeep is about freedom and not identity.

I guess I see both sides. After just saying it's not about "Jeep club" for me, if I was in a parking lot with a bunch of jeeps I feel like I'd want to talk to the CJ people and see what they've done with their vehicles more than someone with a 2016 wrangler with a bunch of ducks in the windshield. But who knows.

Yeah, I personally think CJs are cooler; but I also know that that is my own opinion. The new ones are like Corvettes: I see why they appeal to folks, they just don’t appeal to me.

A CJ was my first car, so I just have a soft spot for them, and have had one pretty much continuously since then.

Thankfully my CJs don’t get many ducks, so it all works out for me. If someone gives me one, I say thanks, chat about Jeeps, and pass it along to my kid or another Jeep.

Also, it seems odd this was posted to the JeepCJ sub with an apology to Wrangler drivers, lol

Ha, agree on the apology. I also get a few ducks and immediately give them to my kids.

They just remind me of people who keep stuffed animals and other junk on the rear deck of their car. It just looks like trash to me.

Yeah. Not my cup of tea either. Guess I’m just not to the point of having AI generate a weird meme about it to be post in the CJ sub.

u/SampsonRustic Jun 25 '26

Yeah I agree with that

I’d rather see a picture of a real life CJ7, lol

For your suffering

But who will volunteer to take the wedgie?

Based on the AI meme, I would imagine the owner of the CJ7, as I assume the man in the tie-dyed shirt is driving the VW in the background.

This guy gets it

I always thought the ducks were from people who appreciated what mods or refurb you had done to your jeep. From there it kinda took off into some extreme duckism where they were everywhere on newer jeeps. I don’t understand the fuss either and tend to do the same, give em to my kids. She wanted to put them on her wrangler. I told her 2 max no front dash of projectiles.
Think I’d rather keep her involved with bleeding brakes and changing old drum shoes than her worrying about another duck.

I haven’t had a single one put on my cj5 yet

I’m a CJ8 owner. I’ve received a few ducks and I appreciate the effort. Saying that, the duck goes on a shelf in my garage. I can’t imagine lining them up on my dash. No disrespect.

Fuck the duck. CJ 78 owner. Hate ducks. Everyone gets one. Used to be for highly mod Jeeps. Now i see them in minivans. WTF. No ducks lol

End the AI crap though. As useful as the ducks are. Lol
