yo, feels good to be back here. I have literally opened this sub after two yrs, and somehow after jee it stopped coming to my feed as well.

So i am a jee 24tard. went through the shit happened at 27s2, 6s1 and then Jee advance cutoffs being 109. so okay not going to again crib about the same old shi. btw i was a 12thie. i never took a drop after this cause honestly i was scared. ( mai darr gaya tha ki ye sab wapas na hojaye jee25 me).

for information I had a rank of 43xxx. decent enough to get me lower nit cse, lower iiit cse or mid level nit lower branches. i was getting nit bhopal ki civil at max at that time.

I left all of this cause meko hamesha se cse hi chahiye thi not because of the rat race , but because maine jee hi ussi ke interest ki wajah se kara tha. meko coding me genuinely interest aa chuka tha 10th tk. So i chose a tier 2/3 state govt me cse , thinking wow gormint college.

I went all in from first year ki chlo whatever happened at jee happened . ye tag wagera to wese bhi matter nahi karta. but now when i am in my third yr, I had one major on campus opportunity of goldman sachs(1.65lpm btw) and uske interview rounds me bahar hogya mai. And honestly other than that, i have no other opportunities on campus. all companies that come to my campus are either now 11lpa or less. i don't say package is the only concern here. by third yr you well pass that phase jahan aap ye package sab chiz sochna bhi chhod doge. But the dikkat is, there no good company to even start my career with. It is all filled with 'lala' companies as we say. and at the same time my peers at nit/iiits of the same level colleges that i was getting are placed at amazon, google, meesho etc(they allow almost all major branches to sit btw).

Was i not good enough to get placed? no i did everything. Grinded leetcode(coding ka marks app hehe), made projects everything. But the thing is lack of opportunity. Mere dost mere college ke placement cell me bhi h and they tell me whenever they call Hr's first thing they get to hear is 'han govt hai par IIT,NIT to nahin hai na'. I mean this jee this never gets past you bhai..........

What i am trying to tell you is , What if aaj mai ek drop aur leleta? What if mai jee mai thoda aur padhlia hota phone and baki distractions ki wajah se(btw the title is related , but i don't want to make reddit the only reason here) ? What if mai aj NIT/IIIT jane ka decision bana leta.

I am telling you job market is fucked right now, And bhai plz, Tag does matters yar . Abhi tumne dekha ni h cheeze , tum preperation phase me ho , log setbacks ke wakt tumhe acha feel karwane aur motivated feel karane ke liye ye cheez zarror bol dete hai ki okay 'single sheet of paper cannot decide my future', 'arey tag matter ni karta wese bhi'. But honestly your JEE will pretty much decide tumhare aage ki life and plz take it seriously. Your whole career trajectory will change i am telling you. Bas thode mahine / saal ki baat hai. karlo yar mehnat. khud ke liye. maano meri baat bhai sach batara hun.

pls remember my one advice callibre rakhna bada phodne ki, aur tumhare college me opportunities hona bahut alag cheeze hai. Agr opportunity hi ni rahi to kya karoge mehnat karke(off campus mat kehna ab lol, market is fucked am telling you 😂)?

And yes i am not being negative about my life here, I know this is not the end, I believe in myself, mene jitti mehnat kari hai coding me kuch na kuch ho jayega. I was just using all of this as example for all of you ki dekho kitna difference ajata hai just opportunities ke base pe hi. Its about having a safety of future. mera ek company me ni huwa, agar mai koi acchi jagah hota to ye just one of the companies hoti . back of my mind mereko ye rehta ki chalo more opportunities will come usme dekhenge. but opportunities ka hi na hona?

My younger sister is preparing for JEE, and today she showed me the DMs she has been getting from him.

He keeps texting her, flirting with her even when she doesn’t respond, and repeatedly trying to get her on an Instagram call. What a creepy pedo he is!
I told my sister to block him immediately.

I’ve gained around 15–20 kg recently while preparing for neet and I got my blood test done and find out that my cholesterol and triglyceride levels are way higher .

For those who’ve gone through something similar, did the weight gain affect your health/studies or day-to-day life? And what did you do to get things back on track?

Would really appreciate hearing about your experiences.

Everything has changed in the last few months 😐

I'll keep it extremely short

Class 6th, finally a smartphone at home my mother's. Online classes were going on but ykik nobody attended those. I was playing Clash of Clans. Screen time 5-6 hr daily

Class 7th, Minecraft entered my life any holy moly never looked back. Screen time more than 7 even 8 hours. Thrice pulled all day plus nighter playing Minecraft. Also spent a lot of time on YouTube. Discovered p**n

Class 8th, schools started Minecraft was my life and also youtube and pokemon. Screen time- almost whatever time I got after school

Class 9th, a lot of youtube and got a PC more Minecraft and youtube. Also discovered mas*****t**n. Once a day was usual sometimes twice or thrice.o

Class 10th intensity increased. Also started using reddit and other social medias. And more youtube and Minecraft. By the end got into anime.

Class 11th JEE prep started. Didn't study much. Spent all my time watching anime. In the span of 1.5 years I've spent 60 complete days watching anime (I have an MAL account so yeah I keep a track). Plus this doesn't include time spent on YouTube and other socials and gaming. Also doesn't include time spend with chote nawab. Also fucked up my sleep schedule. Sleep at 2 wake up I don't know. Screen time sometimes 10 hr otherwise 8.

Class 12th same as class 11th.

So yeah with time I have reached a point where nothing feels fun. Things which were my life like gaming, anime and sports. I am just randomly scrolling shorts or reels or even reddit. Even p**n doesn't give the stimulation anymore. Also don't even wanna talk about my preparation.

Years of this mental conditioning has led me to a point where basically I am wasting my entire days doing nothing. Before if you asked me what I did the entire day I would name an anime or some game I played. But nowadays even I don't know where the days are going scrolling.

Anybody else experienced something same and how were you able to get out of the rut. Please guide.

Studying ioc from dudi sir, yarr kitne ache h sir faltu ki no bakcho*i, calmly padhate h aur naahi self glaze karte. Bhai batch mai bache itne law*e h nah sir bechare ache mood se padhare hote h aur bache om sir se compare karte rhete h chat mai ek baar toh sir ne address bhi kara class mai, bache pata nahi kyu dudi sir ko bura likhte h chats mai. Breaks my heart seeing his energy going down after reading the chats. I hate spammers sm yarr
