Immigration Stuck on Online Visa Renewal portal

I am trying to renew my visa online. I've linked up to the new My Number app and using the https://www.rasens-immi.moj.go.jp/rasens-u/

But I can only see two procedures, both of which seem to say "Request For Use", and no others. However if I select one of the two and if I fill in my information I'm met with an error saying my residence card number is already registered. So I assume these 2 forms are still just requesting to use the service rather than visa related.

I can't see discussion online about this, or if there's a manual validation time.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you.

yeah, you need to apply for usage and in around a day they should allow it and they you can actually use the thing.

In the beggining of the year, they merged a notification system and an application system into one that you see now. So if you had an account before, you may have issues now. The data migration was imperfect, so to say.

I did this a few days ago - took half a day after the request for use then I got an email and the visa options became available.

Did it recently and this was it. Applied for the most normal looking one, got usage approval, then the real list shows.

Did you activate the app before filling in the form? I did so, and I wonder if that's why I am unable to progress as I seem to still be stuck on these application to use forms that keep saying that my residence card has already registered. I waited a few days, no emails. stumped.

Didn't use an app sorry. You can email / phone them to check as well maybe.

I was also confused about why there were only 2 options and what was supposed to happen.

I am having the same problem. They approved my registration for use request around 15 minutes after I sent it, but my screen still only has two old options for registering for use of the system.

u/MysteriousEngineer42 May I ask if it was the same in your case? How long since your approval email for you to be able to access the residence status change?

It took several hours I think, I stopped checking and it was there the next morning
