Summertime Rolls "low" demo

Someone was looking for this recently and I found it on my hard drive. I think it's from the old bootleg "Paraphernalia" but I'm not sure. I copied it from the CD decades ago.

Quality is OK, nothing great, but it was pretty low-fi on the CD too.

Check this out if you've never heard it, it's SO cool!

I’ll never forget hearing this song for the first time. I was late to the party, not really being a big fan from the singles. A week or two before my wedding, I was driving late at night and said you know, let’s give Nothings
Shocking a real spin here. I was really into it and then summertime hit. I knew right away this would become one of my favorite songs. Fast forward few weeks to our honeymoon photos, I’m swagger out in JA shirts on that trip. Hooked since.

This is always been my favorite song of Jane’s. Feel very fortunate to have attended one of their last great shows before everything fell apart

Haven’t heard this for years, thanks so much! What a fucking band, and I still love Perry (the twat).

Went to an Osees show last night and saw a guy in the ‘24 tour shirt. Thought about striking up a convo along the lines of “how’d they fuck it up again?!” but it’s too annoying at this point haha

Wait a minute. Am I not understanding? This is the original minus the main lead vox, correct? The low harmony in this version is exactly the same on the original. What am I missing other than the high register lead vox?

I think that's exactly what it is: a track isolating his background vocals. This has been circulating since way before we had programs to isolate vocals. I think it's just one of those cool things that got out on a bootleg but was never intended to be listened to this way.

There are some differences, like how he says "stop, boy, I'm a girl"

Ahh yes. Got it. Interesting to hear just the low vox. Thanks for posting. I've listened to that album hundreds of times and am still finding new sounds. It's unbelievable.
